TRY AGAIN, MR. PRESIDENT -- THOSE WERE EMPTY WORDS [The Presidnet's Amnesty Program]
Neal Boortz ^ | Nov. 29, 2005 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 11/29/2005 5:25:04 AM PST by conservativecorner

Yesterday, George W. Bush strode to a podium in Tucson, Arizona (I love Tucson!) and against a backdrop of law enforcement officers, announced his latest plan to crack down on illegal aliens. There was nothing in his speech we haven't heard before, and his new immigration policy is just as contradictory as the old one. Among the initiatives announced:

We should build more jail cells to hold illegal aliens. Good idea. The speeding up of deportations, a crackdown on fraudulent identity papers, and a hardening of the border with more surveillance. So far, so good. Then the nonsense started to flow. The president urged Congress to pass his guest-worker amnesty program and repeated the nonsense that the illegal aliens are here "to fill jobs that Americans will not do."

Same old, same old. It is impossible to stand there and say you're going to crack down on illegal immigration while at the same time say that you are going to reward people who broke our immigration laws. The president says it's not amnesty. Ok, now we've finally caught the president in a lie. OF COURSE it's amnesty! When you tell someone who has broken the law that you are not only going to ignore their illegal conduct, but you are actually going to reward them for it, then you have more than plain old garden variety amnesty, you have amnesty with perks!

As for the oft-repeated line that the illegal aliens fill jobs Americans won't, that's also a load. Companies may not be able to fill those jobs with Americans at the same low wages they pay Mexicans, but there are plenty of people in this country that would do the work at the right price. OK .. so the price of headless chickens, landscaping and construction might go up, but at least the people receiving those paychecks would be law-abiding residents of this country, most of whom would be citizens. There is something wrong with the idea of celebrating lower home prices when those lower prices are brought with disrespect for the laws of our country. It gets worse than that. We are threatening our very security by singing the praises of illegal aliens in our workforce. Just two weeks ago we were interviewing a Texas congressman who was telling us that U.S. intelligence agencies have knowledge that Al Qaeda terrorists have moved to Mexico, adopted Hispanic identities, learned the Spanish language, and then moved right into the United States across our porous borders.

George Bush failed to address the problem appropriately yesterday, but this isn't strictly a George Bush issue. There is absolutely no willingness on the part of either political party to crack down on illegal immigration. There are simply too many votes to be had in the Hispanic community. So as a result, our security as a nation is threatened and our cities and states are overrun with illegal aliens.

I'm sure representatives of Al-Qaeda are preparing to apply for their guest-worker permits as we speak.

He campaigned on a guest worker program in 2000

In otherwords, President Bush, having been raised in TEXAS on a RANCH, having had a wealthy family that hired MIGRANT WORKERS, has personal experience in the REALITY of CROSS BORDER, MIGRANT WORKERS and what SOLUTIONS are POSSIBLE and provide the BEST RESULTS.

I would guarantee that 99.9% of the posters on this thread that are blaming President Bush for not CLOSING THE BORDERS INSTANTLY, have 0% experience on WHAT WHO HOW WHY WHEN WHERE WHAT TO DO, about the border.

Who would you trust more?

If you want the borders CLOSED, then you are not interested in a FREE and INDEPENDANT AMERICA.

This makes no sense according to the founding fathers. A closed border makes America FREE because she is not subject to invasion by those who do not value our system of government and do not care to see it preserved.

A closed border makes America INDEPENDENT, because she will rely on no other country for her well being. OPEN BORDERS CREATE DEPENDENCE. That is why the global socialists are calling for open borders and the removal of protections on American products so that those industries will die out. OPEN BORDERS are creating a situtation from which America can may never be extricated. To destroy the only free and independent nation on the globe is just one goal of the fraudulently named "free trade".

We have around 12 million illegal aliens in the country now. Many showed up under the watchful eye of the current administration. It is obvious that Bush wants some of these workers here under the pretense of guest worker or did I let my ears deceive me. Have another long tall drink of kool-aid. How many illegal aliens have been turned loose on the catch and release program? You wonder why some here doubt?

You know the really sad part of this? It indicates how the Oligarchy views the peons .

They really think we are so stupid that we can not see through this thinly veiled amnesty.

Yeah, and it's not even a "benign" oligarchy anymore with the blatant destruction of our country proceeding on a daily basis.

So are suggesting that Bush should be impeached and tried for illegally employing aliens, or that none of us should talk about abortions or murder since we haven't been murdered or aborted?

LOL! You can certainly draw enormous conclusions from very little. Seems you're the one who needs to STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD! Doofus.

CERTAINLY not THE guy WHO is A stinking GLOBALIST. And, for the RECORD, I live ON the BORDER myself and I likely KNOW far MORE about THIS problem THAN you EVER will. BUSH'S ranch IS not NEAR the BORDER and THE White HOUSE certainly IS far REMOVED from the PROBLEM. He's LOST touch WITH his BASE on THIS issue TO be SURE.

I guess THAT just BECAUSE he IS the PRESIDENT he's ABSOLUTELY infallible ON every OTHER issue TOO. Right?

DO you LIKE how I capitalized JUST about EVERY other WORD? No? THEN why DO you INSIST upon DOING it?

On this issue? The Minutemen, whom the President called "vigilantes."

gratefully swallow everything they dish out and play with cartoons.

When I hear that type of comment, It makes me wonder about the commentor.

That "swallowing" is exactly what the detractors, the complainers, the DEMS ask YOU TO DO.

Most Americans that I know that are supporters of the accomplishments and the path this administration have taken, do so because they were skeptical, they verified before trusting. BUT THEY DO CHECK.

As has been pointed out in the past, NAME ONE THING ILLEGAL or WRONG President Bush as done.

I am not saying he makes perfect decisions, and neither would he.

We all make mistakes.

I am totally amazed at the amount of corruption in the national and state governments that has been EXPOSED and REMOVED.

This has been done quietly and the media has not bothered to document or mention it.

You have no idea of size of the bag of worms that the Clinton Administration handed over to their successors.

I think the amount of FREEPERS who can actually imagine what President Bush has had to face and resolve is at or BELOW ZERO.

Imagine running a company where you must get the vote or permission on all decision's from your employees and their families (including children).

And HALF of your employees are dedicated to having your head chopped off in PUBLIC.

Hey, I'm one of those too. I've got the tag right here to prove it. I have it clipped to my "Undocumented Border Patrol Agent" hat that I keep on my shelf when I'm not using it.

If you want the borders CLOSED, then you are not interested in a FREE and INDEPENDANT AMERICA. You are like a crack addict hiding in his house, afraid to go out and face the world. No, it's more like this: after a homeowner bought the most expensive, up-to-date security system possible for his house.....all it required was for him to TURN IT ON AND CLOSE THE DOORS so the system, ALREADY IN PLACE, would actually WORK the way it's supposed to.

NAME ONE THING ILLEGAL or WRONG President Bush as done.

He has failed to enforce the law; which by-the-way, happens to be his primary job.

President Bush is routing corruption in government at all levels, by setting an example of conviction and insistence on following the law and the rules of this great nation.

Did you forget to include an /sarcasm tag or something?

President Bush has been absolutely MIA in his Constitutional duty to protect us from invasion. On his watch, at least 3 million illegals invaded our borders. That is more than 10 times as many troops as we sent to Iraq. Protecting the borders is one of the duties specifically enumerated by the Constitution for the Federal Government and enforcement falls to the Commander in Chief. He is failing miserably!

President push has been completely derelict in his responsibility to enforce our immigration laws. The Constitution does not give the President the right to pick and choose which laws to enforce. He is the Chief Law Enforcement officer and he has a duty to enforce them all. Yet every year of his Administration, enforcement of our laws against employing illegal immigration has fallen further. Lat year it was all but nonexistent.

You could have posted on just about any other topic and I might have agreed with you about President Bush but on immigration he is AWOL and to spout off about his insistence on following the law is laughably absurd.

President Bush loves to talk about "jobs Americans won't do". If there is one job in the United States that apparently no American is willing to do it is President of the United States. Lots of politicians want the title but none of them, including GWB, want to actually live up to the Constitutional duties and responsibilities.

Having read many of your posts and your vehemnet attacks on anyone criticizing Bush's immigration policies I have a question. What country were you born in. You remind me a lot of Bayourod only you're not as polite.

Provide justification for VIOLATION OF OATH to the CONSTITUTION.

Please explain how he could have done different without violating the structure and laws of our government.

Please explain what terrorist attacks have occurred since 9/11 that caused Americans on their own soil injury or death because they were not protected.

If you are just wobbling your lips to move the air around, try getting an electric fan. It is quieter and more efficient.
