As I was panning down the list I could remember exactly where I was when I saw these. Especially the Immaculate Reception!

How about the first or maybe the second Fraiser where Daphnie asks why they call the dog "Eddie spaghetti? She says Oh, does he like pasta?" and Martin says "No he has worms" a classic!

I heard that the "Dean Scream" (#7) was doctored by the media to make it sound louder than it really was so he would not win the nomination.

It think they forgot what should be #1: THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TAKING TV TIME TO TELL US THAT HE DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT WOMAN, MONICA LEWINSKY. I think that's a little bigger than some of the top five moments listed here.

How did they miss the Carson show with Ed Ames, where Carson threw the hatchet at the sillouette and hit it in the jewels area with the hatchet stuck up in the air. Had to be the longest laugh on TV!

this doesn't make sense. #1 should be watching live coverage of the North Tower burning when suddenly you see the airplane heading for the South tower....was anything so unexpected or memorable for a TV moment?
Or how about watching Oswald killed on live TV?
How soon we all forget...

Odd that O.J. Simpson taking a leisurely drive in the back seat of a Ford Bronco didn't make the list.

72 HARDBALL BLUE DOG DEMOCRAT ZELL MILLER CONFRONTS CHRIS MATTHEWS DURING THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION IN NEW YORK CITY. (9/1/04)
7 CAMPAIGN '04 DEAN SCREAM. (1/19/04)
great moments.

The one I didn't see on the list was from Johnny Carson who had the guest, Ed Ames (Mingo from Daniel Boone Show, IIRC) showing Johnny how to throw a tomahawk. He through it at an outline of a body, and it hit the target in the crotch. Johnny lost it.

Odd that O.J. Simpson taking a leisurely drive in the back seat of a Ford Bronco didn't make the list. That is definately one that got omitted. Not only was that unexpected but bizzare as hell.

I didn't see Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction listed.
And if this qualifies: "22 '88 VICE-PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE BENTSEN TO QUAYLE: " ... AND SENATOR, YOU'RE NO JACK KENNEDY." (10/5/88)"
Why shouldn't..."I did not have sex with that woman."
