YORK, Pa. A high school English teacher had sex with a 17-year-old student several times this fall, according to police who have charged her with corruption of a minor and giving him alcohol.
Robin L. Winkis, 29, had sex with the boy five times, in her home and in her car, during October and November, according to charging documents. The York woman was free on bail following her arraignment on Monday.
Her lawyer, Terrence McGowan, said Winkis was informed by the school district on Friday that it would pursue firing her. She was suspended with pay when the investigation began, but the district stopped paying her after charges were filed, he said.
McGowan declined comment on the charges.
Police said the Central York High School teacher contacted the student repeatedly via e-mail, cell phone text messages and instant messages.
“He and his family are getting the help they need to deal with this stressful situation,” York Police Detective Dana Ward said.
School officials said Winkis has taught in the Central York district for five years and has been the girls’ varsity soccer coach for three years.
As a condition of bail, she may not contact the alleged victim or his family, and may not have unsupervised contact with any minors.
Is there a teacher out there who's NOT pranking with the students?

For decades men have been targeted. Its about time they started catching and prosectuing some of the women.
give it up and give me a break, his family is geting the help they need in this stressful situation? Americas preoccupation with sex and what others are doing is getting out of hand. She should be fired , but charged with crimes? Sex is a natural exploration and the kid will be fine. unless they can convince him he will be screwed up his whole life and get him to buy inot the sexual exploitation pyscho babble. As i have said before , johnny can go see Aarnold blow away 300 people in a movie , but if a nipple is shown, no way!!!!!!!
Really, what's the scoop here...a lot of these female teachers would be considered "hot"......

That's what I can't figure out. It's not like these women were, um, going hungry.
Psychological issue of getting a thrill from the 'corruption' of innocence.
Yick.
They get turned on doing it with a young kid they think is the first time for him, or seeing the kid just "awed" if it is new experiences for him.
That's what I can't figure out . . . has this been happening all along and we're just now hearing about it, or is it a new phenomenon?
Yo Bacon, help me out here . . . was there ANY teacher at Dulles who would have been classified as do-able? I can't think of a one.
It must be completely psychological . . . it's not like there's much physical thrill to be had from someone totally inexperienced and (likely) somewhat intimidated.
Has to be completely psychological for exactly the reasons you mentioned.
That, and the thrill of being in power over someone else, kinda a domination thrill of (temporary at least) ownership.
But if I'm going in for domination (this is pure theory, so walk with me, if you will), I'd think I'd get more thrill from dominating someone who's ordinarily tough to subjugate.
However, I'm a mean Texas broad, so perhaps my domme standards are higher.
One would think that the tougher the conquest the better the thrill.
But in such instances the tougher conquests are also more likely to generate higher profile and more visible and more easily acted on proof.
In the case of our esteemed teacher here, people like her go for easy pickins as it is less trouble.
Likely there's more than one psych issue going on with these women.
