I'd go a step further and set up "Consular Courts" in key countries which supply the U.S. with illegal immigrants. Once the employers were identified, they would have to travel to the consular courts in the respective countries or hire legal help to defend themselves.Judgements rendered in the consular courts would be enforceable in the United States. Just a few advantages:
- Cases illegal aliens filed in regular courts would be tossed because of lack of jurisdiction.
- Plantiffs would have to be physically present in the consular courts (located in their country of origin) to press their claims.
- Lawyers doing cases in consular courts would have to be licensed by a consular bar which would be virtually automatic to any state who cooperated in simple tasks such as subtracting illegal aliens from their census, directing their state and local police to cooperate with ICE and not issuing identification to those who couldn't prove they were legally present in the country.
- Judges could be transferred to consular courts-- even the entire 9th Circuit-- with approval of a simple majority of the Senate.

I do approve of your screen name.
I'm not sure about all of your points, but; I do like this one.
"Judges could be transferred to consular courts-- even the entire 9th Circuit-- with approval of a simple majority of the Senate."
Instead of consulting the Senate, could we just ask the committee, those senators talk way to much.

My Grandad did the same. Sponsorship meant they were responsible. They saw to it the family was fed and clothed until the head of the household got a job. He also picked up any medical costs even though he had seven kids of his own.
Americans are not anti-immigrant, they are anti-ILLEGALS. If the government set up a responsible number of legal immigration from Mexico, you wouldn't hear a peep out of people. If those coming here bothered to learn english before coming, came legally, paid taxes and applied for citizenship in the normal manner, everyone would cheer them on.

The Mexicans really sound like they want a war over this. Hmmmm, if we wiped Mexico off the map, would we have to worry about illegals anymore? We could have swallowed that country whole in 1848, but didn't do it because of the brewing political divide between North and South at the time. Annexing Mexico would have added vast new tracts of slave territory to the South, and the North would have none of that.

If you would like to send your own comments to some of these Mexican newspapers the E-mail address for the editor of El Diario and El Noticiero is editor@editorialmac.com. I'm sure they would be interested in hearing what we have to say.

[Quoting

"It's against what we see as part of our life, our culture, our territory." Guy needs to buy a clue. If he ain't a U.S. citizen, he doesn't have "territory" up here.
Come to think of it, there is no more "territory" in North America -- all of the United States are incorporated States of the Union.
Guys like this wake up wrong, then things deteriorate throughout the day.

That's the core of the problem. Mexico still teaches its children that the US SW was "stolen" from them, so they have no need to recognize the border.
