I wonder if Senator Depends is wetting his. Oh, I forgot they don't allow him around classified information anymore.
The "Joint Resolution" has replaced a Declaration of War; in which the President assumes certain extraordinary powers. Ref: WW2
Another black eye for the MSM to close out the year. Let's hope for more to come in 2006!
I think you forgot to include the part about domestic spying. The administration wanted a resolution that allowed for "all necessary and appropriate force in the United States and against those nations...", but didn't get it.
Perp Walks!!!
"Looks like our President has been doing much more than "clearing brush" at the Western White House."
Reading Freepers perhaps? (wink) Bush's numbers are going to go through the roof now!!
My gut tells me he's in his hidey hole with a gaggle of lawyers.
I also wanted it investigated Just how does a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee go to a terrorist nation (Syria) at a time of war and get to warn the enemy??????
James Risen is going to have a wonderful time in prison and the NY Times is going to spend a lot of money to try to keep him quiet about his sources in the CIA and in Congress.
JAY ROCKEFELLER is in a world of hurt. LOL...he's one of the LEAKERS...
Lock up the DNC.
checked out cnn's first report on developing story......aside from what is already known, 'story has legs'. Only a small number of people (8 on capitol hill were briefed) and the investigation will start there. could be a serious matter. serious indeed (no chit sherlocks).....and immediately on to NSA placing cookies on visitors computers.
This week the FBI declared "Eco-Terrorists" as the greatest Terrorist threat to the United States. I guess that means the WOT is won and over ....
Horrible logic. One has nothing to do with the other. Commuinications with persons with known terrorist ties in Afghanastan and/or Iraq would meet the reasonable search requirement for anyone with a bit of sense left in wanting to defend this country against future terrorist attacks...
BTW, so-called "illegal wire-tapping" is one reason why this bridge still stands...
I didn't know that we were at War .... That was Bush's 1st mistake .... NOT Declaring War. This WOT sure is looking like the "War on Drugs".
I'm pessimistic, having read somewhere (on FR) that the President discussed this with some of the traitors from the NYT, and asked them not to run the story. That doesn't sound like they'll be a target of this investigation now.
In fact, the investigation should have begun when the President found out they possessed this leaked information.
In a more perfect World, it wouldn't be necessary to investigate journalists and government officials for revealing matters of national security. It wasn't necessary in World War II. But in this day and age, people have other agendas besides defeating Al Qaeda terrorists.
These investigations are essential. And while they're at it, they should be investigating Code Pink for aiding our enemies in Iraq.

I'd love to be able to listen in on Rockefeller's phone calls today.
Check out articles keyworded Gramsci
It would be fantastic if a court order stopped the release of all of those books due to an ongoing investigation..."
