First

If the US attacks Iran, Iran would probably regress forty years. But since Ahmadinejad wants to take the country back one hundred years, the attack would bring Ahmadinejad closer to his goal in a shorter time.

Second

If the US attacks Iran, all TV sets around the world would be showing Ahmadinejad all the time, which is exactly what he wants.

Third

If the US attacks Iran, Iran would be destroyed in jut a few months, whereas if Ahmadinejad continues at his current pace, it would take him at least four years to accomplish the same. So a US attack would bring about Ahmadinejad’s goal much faster.

Fourth

If the US attacks Iran, it is possible that Ahmadinejad may die in the bombings and go to Heaven. Once gone, he would not have to fulfill his election promises to the people.

Fifth

If the US attacks Iran, everything will be destroyed and no rational being will be able to do anything. Everything will thus fall into the hands of the irrational, i.e. into the hands of Ahmadinejad’s group and supporters, which is exactly what he wants.

Sixth

If the US attacks Iran, many innocent people will die, which would eliminate many of Ahmadinejad’s opponents.

He may well think that we are so tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan and that the American People would have absolutely no support for another war front that he can get away with playing the Big Man. He undoubtedly follows the American news.
He can spout all the rhetoric he wants without fear. He is showing his followers how strong and fearless he is.

The reason is that he thinks (no believes) that the chaos that will follow from either a nuclear attack from Iran or a preemptive attack on Iran will cause the emergence of the hidden Imam.
