He would also be-if I'm not mistaken-one of the few Republicans who would have a realistic shot of knocking off Nelson.

She has star power, which was thought to be a recruiting, fundraising, & campaign rally magnet.
If the biggest "stars" the GOP has to offer are Elizabeth Dole and John McCain then we're in more trouble than I thought.
Given what we know now, her election as NRSC Chair was a mistake.
