Stevenson added, "There are liberals, many of them represented by the outside groups, who will do anything to kill any nominee put forward by this administration."

Indeed, indeed.

As predicted, by the panel tonight on Special Report. Several "red state" dems are planning to vote against him. I want to see which red-state demos vote against who are up for election this year.

This is the ultimate squeeze play.

What these dumbass dembos don't actually get...is Roberts is the one who'd love to overturn Roe...it's not Alito that's the problem.

On top of that...conservative jurist are well balanced with a depth of understanding the liberal loons don't and can't understand. They don't have the ability to grow this type of Americans. Their minds are all warped and just plain screwed up. Their thinking is unclear due to the darkness that fills their whole beings... LOL...

Lefties idolize judges like Ginsberg and Breyer, and we like judges like Roberts and Alito. That tells you pretty much all you need to know about which party is more serious.

Am I the only one that thinks Frist is an idiot for saying this sort of thing, practically engaging in high-fives and back slapping, before the nomination has been voted upon? Why add fuel to oppostion rhetoric at this crucial point?

No you are not. It is not wise to throw party before you have crossed the finishing line.

Frist is a fool.

You can't say anything to a large group anymore without it being leaked.

Can't he just wait a week and see the dems filibuster or not.

Now their justification to filibuster will be because of frist.

Thanks Frist you moron for stabbing alito in the back.

Damn frist, he couldn't just stfu for one more week.

We are going to be hearing about this over and over and over again on the senate floor.

Damn that leaker too. You never get leaks out of the dem side.

It was stupid. How dumb are our guys?

Alito is smarter than the entire senate combined. Republicans and Dems both. His biggest challange was to keep the senators from realizing it.

"why is Frist doing this now?"

My Macchiavellian streak says he's doing it to torpedo the nomination, but it's probably just garden variety dumb, all paranoia aside.
