That is the point I was making; most of our foreign aid budget can't be cut.
I doubt the 10s & 16s will be retired anytime soon - but there will be too few of them, because the USAF is willing to cut a lot of them to get a handful of additional F-22s.
The Air Force F15's are Pratt exclusively
They tried the 110 and didn't like it.
During the yf23 run offs GE had several shutdowns.
Not a good thing.
And not implementing vector thrust in the design ....
but to me all future strike fighters should be unmanned.
save the wight of life support, ejection seat, canopy, avionics display .... beef up the airframe, give it more fuel, and outfly the enemy air defenses. A 20g strikefighter is an awesome thing.
Even the f16 could outfly the pilot's capability to survive g's
I am a Christian and I find it ridiculous that you would say GE Aviation is being punished because of something that NBC did.
As far as the second engine goes, you clearly don't understand the situation, nor do you want to.
I have followed your arguments, and they are full of logical fallacies. (i.e., Bob was a bad man. Therefore, Bob's cousin got ill.) Dumb logic.
The second engine was put in there by Congress for some good reasons (that actually save money). It would bring $500 million dollars to the Indianapolis economy according to an article this AM and who knows what to the various GE companies working on it. So, I guess God is going to punish the people of Indy, Cincy, and Lynn because GE's network, NBC, happened to show a bad TV show for a couple of weeks.
I'd rethink my logic there and stop ascribing stuff like that to God.
We can cut Europe loose.
This is your decision. To my knowlege America doesn't pay that much money to us. If you want to change this I can give you my account number. Just freepmail me. :-)
Let's read on and see if I do or don't understand.

Like I said - pork and corporate welfare. Looks like I have a pretty good grasp on the situation.

I ascribed it to the commander in chief. He isn't (and I don't think he'd claim to be) God. If you can't tell the difference between God and the President, you need to find a better church.
What-ever.
Don't know if everyone was aware of it, but that was reported in the press (if not widely)
