Skip to comments.Coretta Scott King's Funeral...a "Class Act"?

In some form or fashion, I have known the players in what I am about to describe as a series of regrettable moments at the funeral of Coretta Scott King.
The one I know least, President George W. Bush, won both my sympathy and respect for gallantly enduring the slings and arrows pointed directly at him during what should have been a celebration of a great woman, but instead turned into a political rally

I have never been banned from any forum either here or elsewhere.
(Well, there was that one occurance on a site about how to obtain travel visas about 5 years ago but that doesn't count and I was put back on after the admin understood whast happened.).
Why do you ask, Coop, I wonder? What indication do you have that I have been banned?
sorry to hear that, you are in my thoughts. Maybe some hnerbal supplements would help?
I have to say I am still trying to understand how your initial comment resulted in almost everybody on this thread hating you. Was there some sort of insidious intent in your comment that I'm just too stupid to get?

Just curious. You act and smell like retread.
Sorry, Insure. I 'assessed' your character by your ill-mannered behavior on this thread. If you want people to take you seriously, try acting like an adult.
Read his three-dozen or so follow-on comments and I think you'll catch on. :-)
"This boy is sometimes amusing and sometimes quite frightening, isn't he?"
Do you realize, this is exactly how I wish to be? I really mean it. I am not one to lead a boring, part of the herd kind of life. It is heartening that you wrote this.
You just don't get it, do you?
If Bush wanted to, he could have the IRS remove the tax exempt status from this church. To hold what amounted to a political rally at the funeral of Coretta Scott King should provide ample proof that political activities are going on in some churches during services. Bush won't do it, though. He's way too classy to sick the IRS on them even though he could. The whole thing stunk.
Thanks, I'm understanding a little better what you are getting at.
Thank you for getting this thread back on track.
I never mentioned rosa parks. end of story. inference, yes, if you wish. And I do not mind someone threatening to egg my house (of course I know you're jnot serious), what i do mind is someone attacking me in an ad hominum fashion, knowing not the slightest thing about me, even if it is as mundane as 'throwing eggs'.
When you grow up, maybe you'll understand the difference between standing up for principle, even with an edge to it, and being a silly little twit whose sum total of 'intelligence' is insult and phony bravado.
I seriously have never in five years met another freeper who enjoyed being thought of as a complete joke. You're a strange one, indeed.
Sorry kid. You aren't Freeper material.
Insure has been making the rounds today..its got to be the full moon, brings out all the weirdos from DU.

I'm with you 100% brother. I don't get it at all, other than what I wrote about people being more interested in flaunting their egos and coming out on top with every issue presented here, taking their normal daily life's frustrations out here, etc. It is very odd, indeed. The way it works is a gang forms, one or two start, then others with absolutely nothing to add join in, because its the easiest thing to do, to be part of the crowd.
maybe so, but it ain't true.
Why am I not surprised.
Good to see you boxerblues! Hooah!
Read the rest of the thread. It becomes extremely clear very quickly.
