What is the point?
There is NO evidence heterosexuals are born that way.

So what? Does that have any bearing on the conversation, you earlier argued that it doesnt matter if homosexuals are prewired or not, ACTIONS are what matters. So I don't see why you would care whether or not a hetero gene exists. If it doesnt, then it all boils down to choice for everyone doesnt it. We perputuate humanity by procreating with the opposite sex. Regardless of the straight gene or not (I have no idea, being that I am not a geneticist or excitedly searching for the answer daily) HOMOSEXUALITY is a choice. They choose to act on impulses, that fact is not affected whether or not there is a straight gene.

I suspect that the time will come when I will be faced with this again, and I'm wondering if anyone else out there has had experience with speaking up at one of these things and how they did it, and what was the outcome? Did they get canned, or black-balled?

The facillitators are usually good at what they do. They're trained to use opposition to serve their purposes. Snickering, smirking and winking may be the best course of action.

If they come right out and say that homosexuality is equivalent to heterosexuality, you might have to object. I would just ask them questions, like: "What purpose does homosexual marriage serve?" Ask them questions. But the burden of proof on them.

Thank you, Aquinasfan. I never thought about how speaking up may play right into their hands. Thank you for the word of caution. Yes, good advice on asking questions, throwing it back in their court.

So if we are to believe there is NO genetic error or link then I guess the rest of us only desire the opposite sex because of society. That is the only logical conclusion to the "no genetic link to homo sex" theory.

Homosexuality is a mental illness. It occurs only in individuals who are mentally damaged some way.

Every 'homosexual' would be heterosexual if they were mentally healthy. Heterosexual behavior is genetically wired into us. Examine the biology. Man fits into woman and that results in children. Pretty straight forward.

There are mental illnesses that cause some people to eat strange things (glass, feces etc). There are mental illnesses that causes people to steal (kleptomania). There are mental illnesses that cause peopel to fear open places or to drink massive quantities of water. All of these behaviors are the result of mental disease and none of them have a genetic link. All are damaging. Same as homosexuality. It is entirely a result of mental illness or damage.

why normal people are born heterosexuals

All people are born heterosexual

and why we should be focusing on ACTIONs. Seems like nobody wants to discuss the behavior or is that the wrong term.

We agree that a person's actions are totally under their own control and that the behavior of homosexuality is wrong in evrey instance. The point being argued is that some of us do not accept the existance of an inborn sexual orientation. There is no such thing as being a homosexual, there is only being afflicted with the mental illness called homosexuality

You're welcome. Unfortunately I have the knack of killing a thread pretty quickly. Don't know if I just get in too late or if nobody loves me (hangs head, kicks dirt and sniffs loudly while pouting)

Unfortuantely this thread was already vacated. I say we should carry on with it for some time, bumping it. The article sure opened quite a few peoples' eyes.

So here goes:

From Mark I have learned that two men can love each other profoundly while remaining clothed the entire time.

This is one of the most detrimental effects of the pervasive homosexualization of the culture--the poisoning of male-male friendships. In some circles, it is now assumed that two men eating lunch together are homosexuals. I've often had people look at me funny when I talk about my "partner" and have to clarify--"my business partner."

Male friendship is a good and natural thing and very constructive of society. This is why movies like "Butt-crack Mountin'" are so incredibly destructive. Suddenly, people begin to look suspiciously at all manly activities--as if secret sodomy is a part of everything.

Excellent comment. The promotion of homosexuality has spread a noxious taint on kindly friendship everywhere. And that is its purpose - to sexualize all relationships, in the mind if not in actual activity.

As a good friend of mine warned me years ago when I first started realizing the dangers of the "gay" agenda, "They want to turn the whole world into their whorehouse".

Note to Scrip and SoulM - I wondered if this was the article.

As for the Catholic priests, the explanation is simple: the Catholic Church allows only boys to serve as "altar boys", there are no "altar girls"; and the Catholic Church has historically advocated sex segregation in schools and children's activities -- not so much any more, but it was definitely the case during the period in which most of the priest-child molestation took place.

Not even close. Many of the sex abuse cases took place during the 1970s and 1980s during the time when Catholic Schools were going co-ed. If you read the Jay Report, you'll find that 81% of the sex abuse victims were adolescent boys. If you count pre-pubescent boys, the number is even higher. This is not simply a question of access. A sicko priest who had a penchant for little girls would have had plenty of opportunities. These creatures were looking for boys.

This is an excellent bit of writing. Should be must reading in all those "sex awareness" classes.

I began seeing a counselor when I was a graduate student. Matt (not his real name) was a happily married man with college-age children. All he knew about homosexuality he learned from the other members of his profession, who assured him that homosexuality was not a mental illness and that there were no good reasons that homosexuals could not lead happy, productive lives.

Greetings to all.

I keep coming back to this article. It is so beautiful, so powerfully written. So filled with truth. The spirituality of it so profound, and I am not Catholic, I am a Jew. This article should be required reading in every high school, church and synagogue (of course, in these crazy times, that will never happen, they'll get the Brokeback Mountain joke instead. Truth is a still, small voice, isn't it?)

It is interesting to read the comments. Some of them were quite moving themselves. Some seem quite beside the point.

Surprising to me, no one that I see has commented on the courage, intelligence and intellectual honesty of the man who wrote the article. No one has acknowledged the courage of his personal struggle. Personally, I think the dude is a little hard on himself. He should not spend the remainder of his time on this earth in regret; he should seek out the happiness that life offers NOW. Of course, I don't know him personally, so there isn't much I can say, but I hope the author has a friend who reminds him once in a while that he is a good guy, bright etc.

The best part of the article is the interaction with the straight, well-meaning, politically-correct psychologist. In my own way, I have lived through this scenario. (I will mention here that I had homosexual fantasies and attractions but never acted on them.)

To me, this is one of the great horrors of our time. Not a war that happens far away, but an atrocity in our cities and towns and neighborhoods. The mental health professions, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, are leading troubled young men to their deaths, spiritually and physically. No one is yelling and screaming about this. Unbelievable. In my opinion, the "helping" professions should just close up shop and give everyone their money back.

Hey, someone tell me how to get on a ping list. It's a paint to copy all these names!

Thanks for your comments, SoulMan. The more light shining on this the better, and the professionals who are supposed to be helping people are indeed leading them to their deaths in many cases, and in more ways than one.

DBeers and DirtyHarryY2K run the Homosexual Agenda ping list and they will add your name, so you will be alerted to relevant articles. Also, if you find articles, you can ping them as well, so thay can alert the whole list.
