I think what is happening is that there truly are more conservatives in Canada than anyone realized. Just like Fox News took the gamble that most Americans are conservative and became a hit network. Many Canadians are probably conservative but don't realize it. They have been hit over the head with a purely liberal media (print and television) and criminal justice system. Now they have a chance to see conservatism in action. I am one of those people that believed Canada was toast. I was sure we'd have a Liberal Oligarchy forever.
