If it is signed into law, it will be struck down within a few minutes by some federal judge.

ACLU - back against the wall??? They may not want to put this before the Supremes!

Why not. There side can count to 5.

I wish our side could do that. Anthony Kennedy is not going to vote to reverse Roe, sad to say.

How could they not? They would lose their support base in the lunatic left if they didn't rush forth to defend murdering children.

I don't think it will go far.
It will hit the Supreme Court and be struck down after ... Oh about two minutes.
If it were only not so, but this is reality folks.

Cordially,
GE

I wish this would be the end of it. But the tyrants in robes will strike it down.

Much like the "judge" in CA who stopped the execution yesterday.

It has to go through the appropriate legal channels first though. It's not like this will be appealed, argued, and ruled on at the Supreme Court level within a week. An injunction will be in place immediately but a ruling from the High Court would most likely take several years. By the time it's appealed either through the Federal district courts or the State courts and makes its way to the Supreme Court the makeup may be different than it is now. It's not unlikely one or two justices (most likely Ginsburg and Stevens) will retire within 2-3 years.

Remember also if the Supreme Court isn't in a favorable configuration South Dakota doesn't have to appeal up to the court for a precedent reaffirming setback. This seems like a positioning move, a set up for a challenge to the fundamental holding of Roe years later.

Wasn't that sick about the judge in the 9th circus court of appeals... but this South Dakota story offers a glint of hope. It is about states' rights and is exactly what I was refering to earlier in this post:
