Freeper Research Project: Freeper personality tests
Jung Personality Test ^ | February 23, 2006 | Alamo-Girl

Posted on 02/23/2006 9:20:32 AM PST by Alamo-Girl

Would you like to learn a little more about yourself and your fellow posters on Free Republic? If so, you might enjoy this Freeper Research Project.

It began on another thread where people were testing themselves for “nerdiness”. Great fun was had by all.

Along the way, Freeper patton posted a link to the Jung personality test.

What an adventure! I took the test for the first time and found out I am an INFJ (I=44, N=75, F=25, J=25).

Because we were sharing the results of our tests on that thread, I was pleasantly surprised to discover three other Freepers with the same personality type. And, naturally, being curious – some of us went to yet another link to find out what the code means and what famous people are INFJs:

Type Logic

The strange part is that INFJ’s are the smallest in the general population, but among those posting on the thread, INFJs were in the majority. Does that mean that INFJ’s are drawn to Free Republic or to those kinds of tests, or are more willing to discuss such things?

At any rate, it is a delightful musing about this forum, the posters we are drawn to (or against): does the Jung personality test have anything useful to say to us?

If you are interested or perhaps would just like to have some fun, take the test and check out the results. And if you’re willing, post your results here on this thread so that we can all “compare notes”.

The results so far:

INFJ: Indy Pendance, Knitting a Conundrum, Grey-whiskers, Alamo-Girl

INTJ: John O (67,62,25,67), hosepipe (11,50,19,56), Cyclopean Squid (44,100,62,56)

INTP: marron

ENFJ: .30Carbine (1,50,75,22) , phantomworker (39,57,40,12)

Indeed, but "Jung personality test" is how patton labeled it - so that's what I copied here. Thanks for sharing!

HUMOR BREAK

The way things have been around here the past week - I figured everyone could use one. If you're going to get angry with me at misusing my pings lists this ONCE, then you REALLY need this humor break. :D

Anudder INFP here (89 50 12 33). Makes me sound like something of a liberal, which, in my heart, I probably am. Its the rational side of me which makes me conservative.

I feel like a kid in a candy store! Haven't even looked at the actual thread yet, AG, but I drew in my breath and jumped for joy just now like I did when I rode my Mr. Mustang to the corner grocery for the first time by myself and found the chocolate bars!

So far, it looks like you and I are the only ones in this category.

Did you read this about our ENTJ types:

TRADEMARK: -- "I'm really sorry you have to die." (I realize this is an overstatement. However, most Fs and other gentle souls usually chuckle knowingly at this description.)

I'm an ESTJ - more about thinking, then judging, then sensing, then extroverted.

Indy was telling us on the other thread that the results for her were the same though separated by decades. marron, OTOH, got two different results in three tests in a row.

I would note that Dubya is also an ESTJ.

I took this with the rest of my computer team years ago - not only were we all ISTJ's, we only had three "feelings" points IN THE WHOLE GROUP. I've gotten soft in my old age though - I probably would have three feelings points of my very own by now.

What fun! I'm INTJ (100 25 38 78). I've taken this test over the years and I can tell that my type is changing. I was never 100% introverted before. It's because I'm getting older!
