BINGO! I think your point is exactly right.
I have a young neighbor who has a 12 month old son. The father is "around"...sometimes. She is going to school part-time. When I asked her what subject she's studying she told me "early childhood development". She explained that she comes from a divorced family- and knows she is already behind by not being married, by having a man who isn't a REAL father to the boy. Despite that, she sincerely wants to bring this little guy up well. Sadly- she feels she has no one to guide her in this- so she's going to school to learn how-to...
Of course what she learns in this class may not be helpful- but I was struck by her determination and desire. She's putting the best interest of the boy ahead of her own- something Ms. Hirshman would be appalled to witness..
You know someone had to change her pampers!!!!!
LOL!
I'm partial to Shake, myself. He's just too cool.
The Sonics are good, although I only really know the one album with Cool Thing on it.
All true. Like gays, their influence is disproportionate to their numbers. I don't know how a person could be as educated as she is and wish to set up a culture along the lines of the old USSR. If one judged the worth of their life by the fruits of it, mothers have lived the most worthwhile life. If the quality of her intellectual offerings is the indication, Hirshman's is the life wasted.
She doesn't buy into the arguments of many homemakers who say taking care of the family is the most fulfilling thing they could imagine."
I don't buy it, either. Most of the moms I know don't think of homemaking, of being first and foremost a wife and mother, fulfilling. To fulfill is to fill and empty space. The moms I know live lives of enrichment. They have no empty spaces.
The feminazis have so many holes in their lives that they must resort to filling them with shrill, mysoginistic rhetoric. Isn't it funny that the women who carry the tired banner of feminism are the most hateful toward their fellow XX-chromosomers?
Femininism. Live the difference!
You still rock.
(But what about the clown?)
Alas, I also lost my list when my hard drive crashed :(
My husband about spewed coffee across the room this morning when our 7yo matter of factly asked "Mommy, are you ever going to get a job?"
I responded "my job is being here for you" to which she replied, "I mean a real job, like daddy."
It was rather amusing considering I was sorting seeds and she was filling a couple hundred peat pots with potting soil so I will have crops to sell and peppers to make jelly with this summer. Kids - ya gotta love'em!!!!
Good post!
Absolutely. I so agree. It is the most important and rewarding job in the world. Mothers are so fortunate. And probably I understand the tremendous values of mother more than some, having lost mine at an early age.
"If the quality of her intellectual offerings is the indication, Hirshman's is the life wasted."
I coudln't agree more with the above. She is a dispicable person as well.
And yes, like the gays, it is a tiny but vocal minority forcing and imposing their will on the rest of us.

I see that you've discovered too, that Comet works great for cleaning the poo poo from the baby. :)
When ever my son gets too big for his britches, I remind him of how I used to wash him in the kitchen sink.
LOL:) I took three pictures in that series--the last one I decided that I needed to get that big green container out of the picture.
I knew I should have posted the picture in the series sans the
Comet container:)
LOL...when we had our first the pediatrician used the term "stool gazers" for parents who are overly concerned with poops and such.
,,, it's the end of the genetic line for her.
I hope all is well with you NP. Summer's running out downunder.
I don't think gazer is applicable to me. I'd have to say I'm more of a stool glancer. Super Cutie also has another name that she is referred to several times during the day--Super Stinky. I avoid any lengthy "Last Emperor" type examinations.
With a nursing baby, the contents of the diaper is a good sign of successful feeding (or not). With a 2-year-old, it's a strong motivation for getting him to use the toilet!
DISCUSSION ABOUT:
"Are Stay at Home Moms Letting Down the Team? [Feminists bemoan cultural trend]"
This is not a "cultural trend" it is the way Western Civilization grew and flourished for several thousand years. The feminazi revolt is one of the main destroyers of our Judeo-Christian culture.
