I always like to point out the amazing coincidence of how Osama bin Laden left Sudan nearly broke and that Saddam Hussein was also nearly broke at the same time.

Then a couple years later with the Oil For Food program, both suddenly found themselves flush with cash.

Saddam had the oil and the corruptible United Nations running the Oil For Food program. Osama bin Laden had the financial network and supporters who could translate Saddam's vested interest in the oil for food program into money for both of them.

I'm assuming that the 9/11 commission DID NOT have these documents?

After reading quite a few of the audio transcript translations, the following also appeared to have happened. For the first few years after the Gulf War 1, Saddam's regime was working hard to get the UN sanctions lifted. Around 1995 they became to believe that their was no way they could get the sanctions lifted. They then began to plan military offensives which led up to their move on Arbil in 1996. So 1995 seems to be when Saddam's regime basically gave up on trying to get the sanctions lifted. It would be interested to cross reference as to when that terrorist training plane within Iraq was setup.

Honestly, how are you translating these documents?

I think it's great but do you have a program or something like altavista babblefish that allows you do do so?

Thanks, jveritas.

Be assured not just us freepers are reading your important work here. The MSM and others of influence do use FR as an information outlet.

You won't get any credit later, but we know and you know. FR has been doing this sort of thing for years.

We are the media.

As per this, keep in mind that this was reported during the Clinton years and if the press were honest it would not have been "forgotten".

The association of Iraq and al Qaeda was cited in the Clinton administrations's indictment of bin Laden for the African Embassy bombings. The Iraqi-Sudan-al Qaeda association was not unreported either.

You are doing a fantastic job corroborating what was known and what in the past, the same press that denies any connection, reported prior to 911.

Almost three years ago I posted a review, here with the NY Times article and the US Indictment.

Other freepers have an even better inventory of articles or documents relating to the subject.
