I don't feel so negatively about McCain. In the long run, and perhaps even in the short run, no one's free speech is going to be limited. Some are raising alarm about Internet sites being shut down prior to an election, a la billboards and other political ads, but, as someone once said, monkeys will fly out my butt before that happens.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, McCain has disappointed me at times--even made me furious. But when it comes to the war on terror he is fiercely committed. And that's my number one issue right now.

Only STUPID ones would vote third party and hand over the White House to the Democrats. Hmmm...hand the White House to a liberal Democrat vs. handing it to a dangerous liberal psychopath treasonous bastard who is cancer on the Republican Party, Congress, and the nation. I'm not going to be a party to either.

I stand with you Jim.
I'm done with these reptiles, snakes, that call themselves legislators who want to destroy the greatest nation ever on earth. From within.

I'll vote from Abe Lincoln before I'd vote for McCain.
Even if that vote put Hillary Clinton in the Oval Office.

Amen, sister! That and the Electoral College do it for me. I got news for you. If McCain is the GOP nominee then Hillary or whatever Dem wins their primary gets the White House. I don't want a Dem in the White House, but I don't want a treasonous bastard like McCain in there either. They're equally dangerous to our country. So, you better get busy and work to ensure that McCain does not win the nomination if you want to see a Republican in the White House. Inaction on this is basically a vote for Hillary Clinton for President. I'm already working on some things to expose McCain and end his political career. You need to get to work too or your worst nightmares will be realized. That is what is at stake and Jim Robinson appears to have recognized that. Get with the program.

Scary that Sen McMedia, with his in the closet fascist impulses, is considered a "Leader" in our party. From what I've seen, it's only the MSM who considers him a 'Republican leader'.

Pleased to see some common sense about this... person. John McCain is NOT suited to be President of the US.
Frankly, I don't think he's suited for Senator.
Maybe dogcatcher - if you really, really dislike dogs.

I'm late to this thread, but mccain is the liberal media candidate.
I'll never forget when mccain won in New Hampshire in 2000, due to a lot of democrat crossover voting, and voila MSNBC had a special about him, the next day.

My primary non-policy problem with McCain is his temperament - he is not stable enough to be Presidential material.
I agree with you completely. There is something not quite right about him. I really do think he has a mental illness. He can't be trusted with the presidency.
To: Jim Robinson
Thank you for having the courage to be the very type of person McCain is so afraid of.

McCaine-Feingold is a threat to America and American liberty. Did you imagine that FreeRepublic would stand immune from such threats?

McCain reminds me of Capt. Queeg in the movie "The Caine Mutiny". It seems like he has a few screws loose.

There's always the Constitution party if we have to choose between McCain and Hitlery.
I like the Constitution Party. I just did not like the outlandishness of their last presidential candidate.
