Sad but true, but their are plenty of people in the military that share his opinion, and not all of them are Democrats.

Wrong. The overwhelming majority of those currently serving completely support the WOT (which includes Iraq).

HANEY: In my mind, these are a couple of young men. They're white, they're in their early 20s, somewhere between 20 and 25 years of age. They still have the delusions and fantasies of the teenage years that are somewhat common in young boys, and young men. They started playing this as a game, and they have worked themselves up to this. I would be quite certain that they've rehearsed it, they've played this as a game.

I would be more curious to know his past political leanings before passing judgment on his partisan leanings.

Try reading the article. He got everybody BUT Halliburton.

But ultimately I believe in the good and the decency of the American people, and they're starting to see what's happening and the lies that have been told.

Yeah, right - we should have come clean to the Germans in 1942 about stealing their Enigma secrets.

A REAL military type would understand that the war isn't won just yet, so we can't run around puking up the really secret stuff NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW like the media and mouth-breathers like Haney want us to...

Q: What is the cost to our country?

A: "For the first thing, our credibility is utterly zero. So we destroyed whatever credibility we had. ... And I say "we," because the American public went along with this. They voted for a second Bush administration out of fear, so fear is what they're going to have from now on."

So sayeth SMAJ Turd

"Haney is a frickin' pantywaist. That's who he is. Foxhole fag probably."

I have to assume you are making a joke, I disagree with the guy, but I wouldn'call him a pantywaist. I did have some beers and conversation with his boss once, Charging Charlie Beckwith

BIOGRAPHY
Eric L. Haney was born in the mountains of North Georgia. During his twenty-year military career, he served only in critical, front-line combat units – as a Combat Infantryman, a Ranger, and as a founding operator of Delta Force.

Post-military, Haney has worked throughout the Middle East and Latin America, protecting princes, presidents, and CEOs. He led the protective force that returned President Bertrand Aristide to Haiti. He has negotiated with Latin American guerillas for the safe return of hostages and provided security for international oil companies operating in the most dangerous regions on earth. He has also worked with a group of fellow ex-Delta commandos to rescue American children kidnapped around the world.

RESUME
Eric Haney is an accomplished leader, trainer, and operator with global experience. His clients have included international corporations (security surveys), metro SWAT teams (arms training), oil companies (guard force management), Presidents, CEOs, Princes (executive protection), and American children kidnapped and taken overseas (hostage rescue).

he knows enough about tactical decisions, but as a sergeant major he never made strategic decisions. thats where generals and people at OSD come in (not to mention the sec of state, NSC, and the prez).

I fully agree with you, I was just taken aback by someone being so ignorant, as to think a Delta guy could be a "pantywaist"

He's gone Hollywood and you need to beat up on Bush to make that movie. I'm a 30 year vet with counter insurgency certifications and I'm with the President.

It doesn't surprise me. I got the impression from "Inside Delta Force" that he had kind of a left-wing slant to his political views.

Oh well. Few people have earned such a right to speak their minds as this guy has.

In the Special Forces we have a motto "quiet professionals".
Haney's been bitten by the celebrity bug and the accompanying liberal brainwashing that follows. I personally cant stand a
cry baby that spends a career in the military and then becomes a pacifist know it all. There are thousands of us in the spec ops community that have accomplished and sacrificed much. Yet we remain the "quiet professionals" Haney's diatribes
betray the martial code of conduct and honor.
