The majority of Iraqis overall view the recent parliamentary elections as valid, are optimistic that their country is going in the right direction and feel that the overthrow of Saddam Hussein has been worth the costs.

Sunnis, on the other hand...

Among the Shia and Kurds optimism is even higher.

I'm not sure of the Stewart interview, but Sada has been referenced several times. Although I agree with the WMD existence in Iraq, I personally don't find him to be a compelling witness.

I snuck under the fence, get paid under the table, gripe without voting, and kill off large segments of the population.

HOLY! LOL

Okay, but you're just sneaking under a fence the Americans won't sneak under....voting on matters that Americans won't vote on....griping about subjects that Americans wont gripe about, and also just killing off the people the Americans won't kill? I've got a few names if you need a job...

I've been hearing and seeing his so-called "fighting back" but it isn't much of a fight he's putting up... IMO

Well, he seemed to really take Jon Stewart by surprise; he also claimed the facts would be coming out.

You missed all the speeches last week? You missed the Press Conference and Helen? You missed Cheney too?

If you don't think he's 'fighting back' you really do need to pay closer attention.

I hope he's right about more facts coming out. I like what we've seen from the released DoD articles so far. But I heard this guy on Hannity's radio show, and read an article or transcript somewhere around here and just found him to be rather vague, not particularly credible.

No I didn't miss any of those, but what I did miss was his delivery. Bush can't deliver a speech about much of anythign without stumbling over himself so badly, that you have to really be on his side to understand what he saying with confidence...

Ok maybe you guys are seeing seomthing I didn't, but from what I seen of the speeches and the conferences, is that Bush still cannot make himself clear on much of anything when it comes to public communication. "blah blah blah" means about the same thing as what I heard from Bush this last week or two and for most of his presidency. He says the same damn things over and over and expects us to act like he's revealed something new and great.
If we all could get over our infactuation with Bush and really try to get some substantial information from him, new information out of him, then maybe everyone, inlcuding democrats and republicans could get a better grip on what he is trying to do with the WOT

"That's not what you said"
what do you mean? I'm sorry I stepped away for a few to do some work...

maybe I'm wrong on this, it is just my opinion, I stated that in the begginning. but I don't think he is putting up much of a fight... and hasn't in a long time...and is't disappointing

ROFLOL!

You DID miss them, didn't you? Because now, besides the fact that you're changing your tune, you've revealed that you haven't got a clue as to how the President handled himself in any of those situations.

He didn't 'stumble' a bit in the Cleveland speech and Q&A, in the press conference, or the appearance in WVa. He presented all the facts with clarity and intelligence, and fielded hostile questions with grace and strength.

You have exposed yourself as a fraud, groove.

Here's what you said:

even I know that when you see the MSM up there bashing you're every move, you gotta get up there and fight back, and he ain't doin it.. and I never claimed to be the know it all.... I just notice that he's getting the heck beat out of him on the public ring and he needs to refute some of these outrageous allegations.

Bush is fighting back, as are many within his Administration. But they will never control the media (nor would I want them to), which unfortunately does powerfully influence what news (read: opinion) is presented and how it is presented. Yes, the bully pulpit can help, and Dubya could take lessons from the Great Communicator, but the main problem isn't with Dubya.
