You have great allies there, Willie.Yeah, well at least they're not waving Mexican flags and carrying posters of Hugo Chávez and Che Guevara.
To: Willie Green
True. But a communist is a communist, whether they prefer Che or Lenin or Castro makes no difference to me.

Temperature in State College yesterday reached a balmy 45° F. I'm sure those pom-pom's turned into little cotton balls in that temperature.

Getting a doctorate in Philosophy is a way to make sure your salary goes down. The only possible job for you is teaching philosophy, and since every philosophy instructor can turn out twenty or thirty philosophy majors a year, the job market is flooded. When people find out you have a doctorate in philosophy, they don't even want to hire you to flip burgers. It seems philosophy majors want to turn ever minor decision into some great debate. "Yes, the ketchup packets would easier to reach on the counter, but what does it say about our business aesthetic?"

"Sweatshops" are a myth. Working conditions are worse in third-world countries than they are in the US, to be sure, but those workers are not slaves. They
want the opportunity to work. Most of the time, these jobs are the best jobs they could ever have. It's a win-win.
Just because workers in other countries aren't at our standard of living yet does NOT mean they are abused, denigrated slaves. Leftists would have you believe anyone without a 401K, medical and dental insurance, full union pension and a $50,000 salary is a poor, downtrodden victim.
Pathetic.
