That's true.
Good point.
OK, Lord, that's it, the Bermuda Triangle, PLEASE! Say about midnight would be a good time. A moonless night. Of course Chavez would likely try and pick her up. But once he got her in the boat, he'd probably throw her back.
Based on current information who do you think is to blame for the confrontation between Rep. Cynthia McKinney and a police officer?
Choice Votes Percentage of 32 Votes
Rep. McKinney 32 100%
Police Officer 0 0%
Don't Know 0 0%
Thank you for participating in our unscientific poll.

Which should always be accompanied with a donor list or two:

I still think we ought to send the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS umpteen thousand even photocopied "button" wordings for
"The Cynthia McKinney Historical Congressional ID Button Collection"
After the first dozen or 2, they'd have to set up such a collection. It would be a historical hysterical phenomena and they'd have to collect it, chronicle it and catalogue it. LOL. Then it would be an embarrassing story we could make a lot of noise about.
Is it definite that there is a video? I didn't have a chance to follow this over the weekend, and last I saw it wasn't clear to me that definitely there was video. I hope it's been confirmed that there is a tape.
Her district is problaby the only major urban, welfare getto in all of the state of Georgia.
Don't blame the rest of Georgia for this woman's insanity. We Georgians have thrown this woman out of office in the primaries before, but she keeps coming back.
A video seems like common sense because it would be a security measure.
Yep. McKinney says not one word about the incident herself. Surrounds herself with people who will whip up the racial profiling frenzy for her. Clearly she's under attorney's orders.
As of last week, those even more far left than Kos got a little upset... I need verification on this:
March 31, 2006 -- For all those on the right-wing and the neo-con press like the fatally-flawed neo-con Atlanta Journal-Constitution who are reporting that Georgia Democratic Representative Cynthia McKinney will be arrested next week for an altercation with a Capitol Hill cop, unless the US Constitution has been suspended, McKinney cannot be arrested. The immunity clause -- Article 1, Section 6, of the U.S. Constitution -- protects members of Congress from harassment by law enforcement as they travel to and from Congress in the conduct of the business of either legislative chamber. Although the language is arcane, it appears the Capitol Hill cop was the first to breach the peace as a result of his incompetence in failing to properly identify a member of Congress. Most of these cops just stand around all day, the least they can do is study the provided photographs and learn the names of the members. Every lobbyist and journalist worth a salt in Washington is capable of no less. Hey, main stream media, for once, could you please get it right?
Section 6. Clause 1. The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.
In 1998, 84 Representatives and Senators were released after being stopped by police for driving while intoxicated, clear breaches of peace and felonies. All the members claimed congressional immunity. Congressional immunity is so well protected that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is not even permitted to inspect congressional buildings or offices for workplace hazards.
Note: with the Ford sentencing and the physical abuse of McKinney, is there any doubt that the GOP has been in charge of Washington for so long now, the days of Jim Crow have now re-emerged in the nation's capital? There's a disturbing smell in this town these days -- one of freshly laundered white sheets and pillow cases.
A reader who periodically visits this site as well as Democratic Underground inquired as to why we don't link to them. Based on the anti-McKinney comments on that site today, I will not link to any site that promotes the comments of Chauncey Gardner-like, TV-watching, lily-white sub-development residents, and unemployed and uninformed nitwits who constantly carp about those who are firmly committed to the left -- Cynthia McKinney, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, George Galloway, Thabo Mbeki, and Mayor Ken Livingstone. On the other hand, anyone who criticizes Israeli expansionists and their AIPAC/ADL allies is roundly locked out of the discussions.
As far as Democratic Underground is concerned, it's merely a question of "mind over matter." I don't mind them and they don't matter.

Someone has to direct me to a photoshop teaching site... these opportunities are too good to miss.
Funny she didn't mention the baby in the dumpster... not important I guess.
Duh... shows where my mind goes.
Rush will have a field day on this later.
Chavez and McKinney together. That's a funny thought. Visual of them fighting over a microphone.
ROFLMAO
Unfortunately I live in this crazy woman's district, but certainly not in the ghetto. There are parts of DeKalb county that are quite nice with very good schools and wonderful neighborhoods and middle-class black areas.
The state Democratic party used every dirty trick up their sleeve to get this moonbat back into office by luring Denise Majette into thinking she could make a run for the U.S. Senate and she was stupid enough to take them up on it. Then they got a former Atlanta city council woman who was popular with the gay/lesbian crowd (because she is one) to run against McKinney in the primary with a few other candidates to split the vote enough to where McKinney could take advantage of Georgia law and barely squeeze by, and the strategy worked..but barely.
This year there is a black businessman who is going to make it a close run in the primary, and since it looks like our Republican-led state houses are going to be safe this election there will be plenty of cross-over voters (or racists as Ms. McKinney has called us) in the primary to send her back into her hole for at least another 2 years.
I am so embarrassed that this crazy buffoon is my representative.
So what happened? Did she have a press conference? Did I miss something good again?
That's OK. I have to floss my teeth, far more important
I'll be cleaning out the litter box, I figure looking at one piece of $hit is just like the other.
U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) refused to comment today about her confrontation with a Capitol Hill police officer.
Instead her supporters used a news conference this morning at the Community Church of Christ on Cascade Road to attack security procedures at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. They blamed the incident between McKinney and an unidentified police officer on racism. Speakers said the officer failed to recognize McKinney as a member of congress and grabbed her because she is black.
They also ridiculed the use of pins to identify members of congress. McKinney admits she was not wearing her pin when she was stopped by the officer when she bypassed a security checkpoint.
McKinney made a statement listing accomplishments of her office and scolding the local media for concentrating coverage of the slapping incident.
She refused to take any questions from reporters.

ok by me!
I cannot believe this country has gotten to the point where TOUCHING SOMEBODY can even ben considered battery.
Only that did not happen.
The incident was reported to the police right away, and it was about 20 hours later that it was reported in the news. My goodness, you people wear blinders, don't you? Aren't you even the least bit interested in the facts?
I read, or heard, over the weekend that there were two videos from different angles.
Every hotel in every city gives guests that advice. It just does not make front page news until a guest goes down the "wrong" road and gets mugged or worse.
"It is a wonder she hasn't sued aspirin manufacturers because in order to use their product she has to pick cotton"
That's funny!
""The Cynthia McKinney Historical Congressional ID Button Collection"
or should it be "the Cynthia McKinney Historical Hysterical Congressional ID Button Collection?"
"Because she was assaulted and placed in impending fear of her safety, she responded," [civil rights attorney James Marts] said. "This case has just begun and we're going to fight, and we're going to use the U.S. Constitution."
Must be a typo in there. I'm sure he said "abuse the U.S. Constitution" and not "use".
"McKinney says she was the victim of racial profiling by Capitol police in the incident."
No, she was a victim of Darwinian profiling.
Apparently she hasn't evolved to the point where she can follow directions everybody else in Congress has no problem understanding.
Please let me know. I need such a site, myself.
But I think even Microsoft's pic handling software would enable one to place text within a circle. Then print it and mail it to the Library of Congress . . . perhaps as well to Rush, Hannity et al.
Will be the end of the week before I can devote a lot of time to it but I plan to do so.
Who's the attractive lady in the poster? It's certainly not Cynthia McKinney.
If I were McKinney, I'd be insulted that they felt I was so ugly they had to put some other woman's picture on my poster.
Uhhh!
. . . I wonder who would try to rape whom first . . . figuratively or literally.
Oh, I'd love the 2nd but
to get it actually established and taken remotely seriously, we must use the first.
Yes, I understand...sorry for being sillly...it's a beautiful day in Atlanta today...even if McKinney is representing us.
"jimmy carter, cynthia mckinney. very proud!!!!"
Don't forget Ted Turner!
Yes- and Apparently expecting a black woman to follow the rules in place to protect the American people is racist...
lovely, eh?
Kinda like expecting people to follow the law and migrate here legally is also racist...
amazing, eh?
Actual article on the WSB TV homepage:
SLIDESHOW: McKinney's Changing Hairstyle
So are TPTB finally about ready to toss her overboard in the next election?
It is so depressing to find out who Danny Glover really is inside....
Danny Glover comes off has not bring too bright. Seems like he needs a script in his face.
A sign of the times - and an ominous one.
This garbage didn't all of a sudden hit us in the face.
It happened incrementally.
A nation of free people is rarely turned into a mob of slaves overnight - it happens slowly.
50 years ago this kind of garbage would have been unthinkable. The folks along the Mexican border would have been using armed force and the American military would have been dispatched to assist them.
Remember Pancho Villa? The only difference between him and these people is the approach.
I saw your web page.
You seem to be a really nice lady.
America could thousands more like you and your children.
Hmmm, so they couldn't arrest her right then and there, but this doesn't mean she can't be arrested now...?
She's been stacking on the pounds, hasn't she?
thank you for your kind words.....
I am blushing.....
