He's not an idiot.

He's politically correct on issues that can in any way be used against him because of race or ethnicity.

He drinks the koolaid that fear of doing or saying anything that could be viewed by anyone negatively as racist or bigoted against a particular non-white group trumps all reasoning.

If these were 50 million illegal French Canadians in the next generation assimilating us across our border illegally, he and the RINOs would have no problem attacking the issue with fervor.

They are scared because most of these illegals are non-white or mixed and God forbid anyone say anything.

And they will accuse anyone who does of being a bigot.

The bigot or sexist charges that come from this White House and RINOs towards their fellow Conservatives who oppose them on hot issues is no accident.

Think back.

Lott Affair

Harrietgate

Port Deal

Immigration

That is why they won't touch it. They are scared. Same as most Europeans are about Islam inside their fence.

Actually the country is pretty solidly in favor of properly regulated legal Immigration. The division is caused by those who deliberately confuse Immigration with Illegal invasion and dimwits they have beguiled.

U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,

and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"

Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]

1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

How about if our leaders just obeyed the Constitution and enforced the laws already on the books?

B>QUISLING: a synonym for traitor, someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country.

"He's not an idiot. "

That's not exactly what I said, however, I maintain that Bush's handling of the border is Idiotic, In violation of the Constitution and his oath of office ( by ignoring immigration law enforcement) (art.4, sec. 4,: The united States shall guarantee to every state in this union a Republican form of government, AND SHALL PROTECT EACH OF THEM AGAINST INVASION.... ) and in calling the very well behaved and effective Minutemen "vigilantes".

By the way, WTF do French Canadians have to do with this?

The invaders on the southeren border have a large contingent of OTM's, from countries including middle-eastern terrorist sponsoring countries- These OTM's just get released, with instructions to come to court.... Please tell me that you agree that this is completely idiotic.

I'm very angry with Bush too.

I simply used French Canadians as a proximal neighbor in my opining that the Quislings won't tackle this hard because they are mostly somewhat different racially than the dreaded oppressive white european descended. Were we being invaded by White Canadians, they would all over it.

They are paralyzed by a fear to ge tough with minorities...even if illegal aliens

My 2c....

IMHO, I don't think that anyone is against *legal* immigration. Except for a very small minority, everyone here is related to immigrants in one way or another.

My problem is with the illegals. Those that would sneak in to take advantage of American Benefits, and to a lesser extent, jobs, need to be shipped back out.

I also think that the media is very disingenuous when speaking of illegals. Never mind the PC terminology...'undocumented workers' and such. They're portraying the border jumpers as just the ordinary, average Mexican Joes, or Jose's. The reality is that those crossing the border are most certainly NOT the cream of the crop. It's not Mexican Doctors, Engineers, and Businessmen that are sneaking across, nor is it people trying to escape religious or gov't persecution. It's the people that don't have the skills to be successful in their own country. Frankly, I imagine that the Mexicans are glad to rid of them, just as we'd be glad to dump 75% of our welfare cases on someone else.
