West Bank, 20 April (AKI) - The Palestinian son-in-law of al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed during an American bombing in Afghanistan several days ago, the French news agency AFP reports. Family members of Houssam Abdellatif Abu Bakr opened a mourning house for condolence visits in his home village near Jenin in the West Bank, shortly after news of his death was received. Abu Bakr, 32, was married to Fatima Al Zahra'a, a daughter of Zawahiri, and was father to four children, his relatives told AFP.

According to family, Abu Bakr was also "one of the main bodyguards" of Osama bin Laden. His parents, who have been living in Saudi Arabia since the 1970s, received a phone call on Wednesday "announcing the death of their son in an American bombardment in Afghanistan," said his relatives in Yaabad.

Good kill. Osama's next on our list to get, dead or alive.

Thats because Paki intelligence throws us a little crumb like this insignificant piece of crap, in exchange for promises from Uncle Sam, meanwhile they're hiding bin Laden. The whole thing stinks.

Two major blows for al Zawahiri within the past few days. Perhaps he'll be filming another video shortly. :-}

You don't know what you're talking about, but unfortunately you still manage to show up on these threads to spread anger and ignorance. How nice.

An update of sorts...

http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/7598_1680036,000500020005.htmAbu Baker's family, which lives in the village of Ya'bad near Jenin, was notified about his death only this week.

His father, Abdel Latif, said he last saw his son about 10 years ago when the family was living in Saudi Arabia and he left the kingdom to join Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Villagers told the daily that Baker was married to Zawahiri's daughter Fatmeh and had phoned his family last week to inform them of the birth of his fourth daughter.

He was alive up until last week when he made a call to his family....so his death was very recent..

This also serves as more poignant reinforcement for President Bush's global war on terror. Palestinians and Al Qaeda? No way! LOL

So I expect Ayman, like a good Muslim, will now visit his daughter to comfort her in her grief. < / wishful thinking >
