No details, but the agent was caught dead to rights leaking....
Update: CIA Officer Fired for Leaking Classified Info to Media
WASHINGTON A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.
CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.
One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

If you notice the date of the donation to the Ohio Democrat Party, it is just before the election when the polls were showing that it was going to be close. Since the Secretary of State was Ken Blackwell they knew they could not cheat to win.

The Ohio contribution in October 2004 makes sense. Ohio was a battleground state and very much in play. Kerry was making an all out effort to win there. They [Ohio Dem Party] needed the money. I wonder what kind of personal connection she had to Kerry then or was it thru Beers and Wilson. That's a lot of money for a career USG bureaucrat to donate, especially in the last throes of the campaign.

Does Marc Rich do any trading in gold unranium or yellowcake? His business is comodities, yes?
He owes a big debt of gratitude to the Clintonista's.
And it would only be ironic justice that they would use Rich's $$$ to captpure Libby in an indictment sweep.

I'd like to know why these so-called investigative reporters have done nothing to help their country like gathering sources to help smoke OBL out?
They used to do alot of reporting from that area, and I'll bet if a Dem becomes Pres, they will jump to the job of helping to find him.

Oh, BTW, Schieffer has Batiste on FTN Sunday. I emailed Bob and asked him if he had the intestinal fortitude to ask General backstabber why he sent men and women into battle under what he thought was a flawed plan (a plan he thought would needlessly get people killed). Then asked him if he had the intestinal fortitude to follow up that question with a request for an apology to the husbands, wives, parents and children of those war fighters.

"Yawn, since when is Pat a military expert? I'll stand by Rumsfeld any day. Bush and his administration were elected. Live with that Generals. The US is NOT a banana republic so for goodness sakes behave accordingly."
MSM and the "Generals" were not elected November 2004. And considering the decrease in revenues the NYT and the Tribune are experiencing I believe one can say that the MSM is in the process of being fired.

It just made the top of page 1, NY Times.Eventually, the pillow biters at the NYT will treat this as proof positive that "BushCo" is trying to shut down and lock up the "free press" as well as everyone else they don't like. They'll officiallly declare that Bush does indeed equal Hitler and will launch an all out assault.
But right now, it seems that they just can't help themselves but to take a few shots at the Compost.

It's even tighter than that between Beers and Clarke - I recall there was a passage in Clarke's vile book in which it was clear they were very close personal friends, not merely colleagues - when Clarke quit the NSC the very first thing he did was go over to visit his buddy Rand Beers at home and commiserate together about how awful the Bush administration is - then Beers became the head of the foreign policy team for the Kerry campaign and Clarke soon went on to launch his jihad against the Bush WH (conveniently forgetting everything he could about the gross failings of the Clinton WH on counter-terrorism).
btw, Clarke, Beers, and Mary McCarthy were three of the top counter-terrorism officials in the country, all in the NSC, in the period 1999-2001. It can truly and fairly be said that the 9/11 plots developed on THEIR watch and that THEIR failings had more to do with it than anyone in the Bush team who'd only had a few months in office and had to deal with the (then) Democratic Senate not confirming important national security appointees, etc.

With the exception of the NY Times (what happened with them was someone drunk over there?)and Wall street Journal, there were no real stories on this by the Major News outlets. The WP wrote an editorial on April 15 recommending that Mollohan should step aside while the investigation was underway.
Step aside Mr. Mollohan
Yhe Washington Times also covered the story.

I am reminded though that much of the early battle info is incorrect.STILL,....There is way too much coincidence with all of these people and their actions to not have some major implications.
I can't wait for more info, and for this to play out. There will be blood drawn.

I'll wager she's been on multiple 'Rat fundraising and "war room" lists, if nothing else because of her previous donations and contacts with Clintonista 'Rats. I'll bet there was a Kerry or DNC email blast saying "help us win in Ohio, it's so close" and she showed her partisan stripes by ponying up the $$$.

You are probably correct but according to onyx and Powerline needs to be very careful,
"Meanwhile, the Justice Department says that "there [are] dozens of leak investigations under way." It seems likely that one of them relates to the leak of the NSA's terrorist surveillance program.
"My only regret is that the investigations didn't start sooner. Democrats in the CIA have been conducting a leak war against the Bush administration for at least the past three years. Perhaps if the law had been enforced more vigorously long ago, the later leaks, which were even more damaging to national security, might not have occurred.

Right, Both her and her husband had already made the maximum $2000 contributions to Kerry so they had to give to the Ohio Dem party. $5K is a big league contribution. It wouldn't surprise me that she was also leaking to the Kerry campaign. Kerry's Tora Bora rant sounded like he had some inside information. Gary Schroen's and Gary Berntsen's books substantiate these claims.
Wilson had also made his contribution to Kerry.

Her husband's a "landscape designer", right?
It would be most interesting to see a copy of his client list, wouldn't it? And when they were paying (and how much they were paying) for his services ...

"All CIA employees are required to sign a secrecy agreement upon being hired stating they are prohibited from discussing classified information with anyone not cleared to receive the material."
And, I've wondered all along why Joey Wilson did not have to sign a non-disclosure or secrecy agreement before his trip to Niger ON BEHALF OF the CIA.

It will be interesting to find out why she gave so much. It is probably that she is a hard core Democrat and wanted her Boss to be John Kerry instead of GWB, and in her circle of traitors at these various Positions deep in the bowels of the State Dept,CIA,FBI,Pentagon they (IMHO) conspired to do whatever they could financially to defeat George Bush. There had to be a coordination going on with the Soros group or one of the others, maybe the DNC or DSCC.

I doubt if the lazy leftist bums in the MSM will do anything unless it will hurt Pubbies. They are a bunch of elitist snobs that do not have the gumption or intellect or even the desire to help right wrongs or get to the bottom of stories. They do not want to dig deep into any stories, because they might have to get off their lazy butts and show up places that are demeaning to them. They might have to break away from the Cocktail Party circuit and actually do some work instead of Lexus Nexus searching someone else's work. Can you imagine Russert getting off his high horse and his lazy fat butt to actually do a story he had to investigate on a Dem? Hah!
