"What's new?"

I was, um, spreading my wings.

Oh, yeah, I grew up down the 91 from where you are; out in Santa Ana Canyon. But that was back when there were empty hills out there. Nowadays, even where there IS still open hill country, if you dare go hiking up there, you'll have the Anaheim PD ghetto bird circling over your head in less than half an hour.

As a kid I spent many summer days tromping around up there.

Odd, isn't it, how we close off accessto the outdoors, then bitch about kids spending their lives chating online and playing video games?

Humid, too. Currently (after 8:00 p.m.) the humidity is about 40%. In the mornings, on a clear day, it can be 80%. And we get thunderstorms through.

It's not as hot here as in Oklahoma. Highs in the low 90s are typical in July and August here, while we would often get weeks at a time over 100 in Oklahoma.

I'm familliar with that area you are mentioning. That is southeast from me.

I'm a few miles southwest of La Habra Heights.

I never give the exact locations here of FR due to the Union thugs that would be reading the threads looking for trouble.

No doubt.

I suppose that, if someone REALLY wanted to find me, they could, but I have "appropriate measures" in place with which I am comfortable.

"I have two days to finish packing ..."

How do you pack a day?

Can you wrap up twenty-four hourglasses in newspapers and accomplish the same thing?

How about 480 three-minute egg-timers?

Ouch! I have to admit, I wasn't ready for that, even though I should have expected it. Good one!

It's funny.

Us people who live in cold climes really envy your 'warm' winters, but in the end, I'd rather stay away from 90F for more than a couple of days every summer.

:-)

Yay!

Today I spent the day while my hubby had medical tests and waiting on the last day of the month to pay my car registration renewal, and tomorrow, I have to sit in the Social Security office and explain to them how one of their clerks issued me a ss card not under my married name, but under my maiden name. Yesterday, some bill collector tried to tell me I was this person with the same last name who owed a bill from 1994 he was trying to collect on. This same woman has defaulted on at least one other bill and skipped out on paying child support payments, too.

I'm too easy to find. I am glad I have a different social security number.

Yes, Moving Day for me is Saturday, so I'll be here for the UT move.

Though, I'll be here mostly in the late mornings or early afternoons. I HAVE to get the rest of the packing done tomorrow and Friday mornings. I'm not a happy camper. I just want to apparate it all to Henderson.

It's good to see you, too! I was actually ready to say my good-night, when I got your post.
