Well, it's obvious pandering to upset conservatives and they are going to have to do more than ONE significant appointee and a number of lower leveled appointments. I'm not going to get too worked up about one appointment long overdue because they screwed up. Though I wish kavanaugh well. No reason he shouldn't already be on this court as well as Saad, Estrada and everyone else held up.

However, I will give credit for this.

Given that Democrats appear ill-prepared for today’s announcement, it would seem to suggest that Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has the upper hand.

I saw the point plan circulated yesterday for what the Republican Congress intended to get back on track...this move was no surprise. The fact the Democrats were not informed and unaware? That I give Frist and Reps genuine credit for. No reason the Democrats should be prepped in advance to sabotage policy measures. So for this I give them strong credit.
