The Principles of Bill Pierce (Why We Should Vote for Him and Send Mike DeWine Packing on May 2)
US GOP Senate Candidate Bill Pierce (OH) ^ | April 29, 2006 | William G. Pierce

With your help, we can replace the liberal ideals, liberal philosophy, and most importantly the liberal votes which Senator DeWine has exhibited over the past eleven years with our shared conservative principles, to:

Finally - I do not, nor will I ever, subscribe to today’s prevailing attitude that Massachusetts and New York have sole patent rights for out-spoken Senators. I will speak out about the issues listed above and I will not hesitate to challenge my colleagues on the other side of the aisle who work against our “common sense” approach to these critical issues.

The positions listed above are but a few of my central concerns. You may have noticed that Senator Mike DeWine supports the first one, recently began to support the second, and has either voted against one or more of the remaining OR not concerned himself with any of these “big” issues. I can and will do much better, but I need your help on Tuesday, May 2nd.

William G. Pierce, P.E.

What's the point of having a Republican senator if he almost never votes, acts, or speaks like a Republican?

As Bill noted, Mike DeWine can only be seen as "conservative" on prolife issues, is a Johnny-come-lately on defending traditional marriage, and is either clearly not conservative or deafeningly silent on every other item listed.

Vote Bill Pierce on May 2 if you're in Ohio, and spread the word -- there's a legitimate conservative alternative who will support drilling in ANWR, defend our borders, etc., but most importantly, won't just let things happen without speaking up, as Ohio's senior incumbent senator has.

The grass-roots does not like Mike DeWine, and I mean REALLY doesn't like him. Bill Pierce has defeated Mike DeWine in three of five ballot-based GOP County endorsement processes, and has tied him once; that isn't supposed to happen to a two-term incumbent, BUT IT HAS.

The grass roots is responding to Bill Pierce who is a genuine and articulate conservative and will be the citizen legislator our Founders envisioned, in the mold of a Coburn or DeMint.

Bill Pierce needs our support. (Web Site; Pierce Blog; contribute)

More on Pierce's background and positions is at this previous FR post: HERE

Mike DeWine has only two allies: Apathy, and Inertia. Bill Pierce can crush both of them on May 2 if we support him now, and if Ohio conservatives turn out and vote their beliefs. Pierce for Senate.

I moved from Ohio to Florida several years ago. One reason was free snow removal in Florida. Another reason was the high and rising taxes in Ohio. The other reason, a big reason, was the disappearance of true Republicans representing the State - I wish Michelle DeWhine Godspeed on his exit from politics!

I heard him speak recently and was very impressed! He will have my vote. Many conservatives in Ohio are fed up with DeWine, Taft and Voinovich!
