Town Council winners are Bill Tirrell, incumbent Dennis Husch, Connie Haines-Hutchison, Charlie Waddell and Dave Kirby.Dave Kirby's position looks a little stronger;
Illegal Aliens - If you are in the United States illegally, (i.e. didn’t follow the legal process of obtaining a passport and a United States visa) you are breaking the law – you are a criminal – you are an Illegal Alien. The Town should not allow tax payer dollars or Town property to be used for any illegal activity. We should be discouraging, not encouraging illegal activity in our town. Illegal Aliens are the root cause of our number one problem in the Town – overcrowding. Throwing Town tax dollars and resources at overcrowding, without tackling the illegal alien problem, will not solve the problem. Project Hope and Harmony should find a private property location for the Day Labor Site and private funds to manage this facility. It should be stated at the entrance of any such site within the Town limits that: “Government issued ID will be required to register at this site.”

I'm somewhat surprised at this outcome - but even some of my liberal collegues don't like what's going on out there (around here). This election outcome will get alot of attention - even if the press doesn't play it up. I can hardly wait to hear Chris Core in the morning !!!

You're misleading by mentioning the Congressional district as Republican meaning Herndon was also Republican.
Herndon went clearly for Kerry and Kaine (gov) both Democrats in the last two elections. It has changed from a Republican area to a clear Democrat majority over the last 20 years.
In this non-partisan election, people from both sides of the aisle decided they had had enough, and threw the bums out.
It's a lesson for the rest of America. Nuts to the ruling class - we can win this battle against the alien invasion if you try.
