Urgent Prayer Request: FReeper MamaB's husband diagnosed with terminal cancer

Fellow FReepers, your prayers are urgently needed for MamaB and her husband and family. I received the following email from her this morning:

We got more bad news yesterday at the Kirklin Clinic. There is no treatment available right now unless the dr. down there can find a clinical study at a cancer research center like in San Antonio. He has 6-9 months to live without any treatment. We are all heartbroken and disgusted with the oncologist here who shoul have found this months if not years ago. Could you tell the people on the Dose tonight? Thanks.

I have already notified the "Day in the life..." (Dose) thread custodians, and thought this prayer request might bring the family some measure of comfort.

Although I'm cautious about mentioning any of the details without permission, MamaB did post the following on the "Dose" thread this past Tuesday:

We went to UAB today and got the worst possible news. The cancer has spread all through his liver. There is nothing any one can do. We do have another appt. with another cancer surgeon on Thursday. We are in a state of shock since the other dr said it was just in one lobe of the liver.
