But who are you referring to...As you can see on this thread as well as most threads, the name calling comes from the self-proclaimed Bush defenders...They are the DU folks yer talking about???
Pukin, I appreciated this thread when I first read your article, but it appears you've brought some of the trolls out of hiding and into suspension! Congrats!
Send a postcard to let us know how your vacation is going.
Not true. But you catch more flies with honey then with vinegar.
So let's don't be divided. Do stand on the Constitution and for Conservative principles. Do not stand for a flailing Party that's lost their way. Pretty simple.
You're still posting, aren't you? Nobody gets banned for anything other than violation of posting guidelines. Youn know that. Now have a nice day.
You have a point about corruption from below the Rio Grande, and it makes the open borders scheme all the more insane -- unless we intend to invade Mexico and fix it for good. This Clintonesque nuttiness that reality doesn't matter, that it's just what you feel or your intentions that count...it's like a cancer, metastisizing all over the place. God help us, wishful thinking never solved a thing. The MSM simply changes the argument, defines it and controls it. We have to make sure they don't get away with it.
Actually, it is doomed when a majority of its population share your defeatist attitude. And for the record, could you point to who you think is a current "true leader" in this country?
"For all the talk on immigration on FR, I don't hear much of it at the water cooler."
Funny, I hear people outraged about it everywhere, especially since the "demonstrations". It was the topic of conversation just this morning among a group of construction workers having breakfast near me.
When you feel the need to leave, don't post an opus either.
Obviously you didn't read it. Or you didn't retain it.
Who is "they"?
I support all of the conservatives in the House of Representatives as well as the two in the Senate...Always have...
This is what the forum owner had to say about people threatening to leave the Republican party:
Well, if they're fleeing, they're obviously not "hard core Republicans." Probably never were. Hard core Republicans do not cut and run.

I don't think many on here want a Mexican invasion or want the illegals to have free entry.
All of us are seeking workable ways to bring about change. Workable is the key word.
Personally, I'm beginning to feel we need to take over Mexico and make it a state. At least we would get the oil and then begin to get control over the mess down there.
LOL.
I certainly would never do that.
With America fighting a war against the forces of international terrorism, ALL Americans should support the President and our troops fighting Islamofascism around the world. However, we shouldn't lose sight of the the BIG picture. We shouldn't lose sight of the other issues that will have a serious bearing on America's future.
You will never satisfy the Bush cheerleaders. These FReepers aren't interested in advancing the conservative agenda for America. Right now they're more concerned with advancing the status quo domestic agenda of PresBush and the GOP Congress. That means more liberal spending, more welfare entitlement programs, more globalism and a continued effort to get a guest worker-amnesty program for criminal aliens as the law of the land.
These folks do a disservice to Free Republic, the conservative movement and the future of this great nation. The Founding Fathers created our Constitutional Republic for people to live in freedom, not bound by an all powerful central government. Two of the basic tenets the Founders promoted and that are at the core of our liberty, are the right to free speech and political dissent. When the people we elect to public office, do not uphold their Constitutional duties and/or political responsibilities, it is the right of the people to speak out. If those we elect as public servants, don't listen to the people, they should be voted out of office.
As JimRob has said many times over the years, Free Republic is not a place were the liberal agenda is advanced. Free Republic was created to advance the conservative agenda, cut big government down to size and fight bureaucratic fraud and corruption.
Many people see Free Republic as HOMEBASE for the Republican Party and President George W.Bush. It is not. When Bush and the GOP Congress makes the right decision and sticks to conservative principles, they should be supported. When Bush and the GOP Congress makes the wrong decision and moves away from the conservative agenda, they should be held accountable.
As far as I'm concerned, Free Republic is STILL the home of conservatism, conservative politics, conservative values and beliefs. FReepers hurt the conservative movement when they attempt to promote the political status quo in WashDC. Centrist politics and liberal politics SHOULD have no place on Free Republic.
This book has been mentioned to me before in this context. I may have to break down and get it.
