It's a matter of creating expectation then exploiting shame and guilt. Bush has adopted the strategy with his barely encoded speeches. If you don't support the depression of American living standards, you are not "welcoming" you are racist, and even unreligious.
He, or Rove, really, really want this bill through. Is it a class warrior mentality from above to below? Could be. I think more likely they have imbibed years of the propaganda, studies, pressures supporting open borders.

It's the leftists who are ravenously awaiting and plotting for the establishment the dictatorship of the "enlightened" elites...in this case they happen to be rich too.
They did it before with the destruction of free Russia and the Soviet revolution. They believe in doing it gradually this time around. I hear them almost every day. They really do believe they are intellectually enlightened and that the masses - ignorant as they are - should be managed/led/directed for the good of all.
It would be interesting to know how many were NOT millionaires BEFORE becoming senators. We all know the Bubba-'Toons didn't have the proverbial pot before he became POTUS. Now, look at them.

From what I've been seeing this would explain a lot of the country's insanity.
You will note that not many figures are available for the U.S. House; the reason is that these figures are not easily obtainable... in fact, if some news org or polit action group does not publish them, they are nearly impossible to obtain.

True... at present in Massachusetts they are in process of requiring businesses to pay 12 weeks of family leave pay for employees for personal or maternity needs.
Of course what this will do is force many businesses to close or leave Mass. Some years ago Mass asked the drug stores if they would mind operating at a loss so that the state could provide a prescription drug benefit for all citizens that would only require a $5 co-pay. Mass - the seat of American liberty - has completely forotten its roots, and doesn't even understand how capitalism works any longer.

Do a search for my previous postings. If you think that our Constitutional Republic is still in place, I think you are uninformed. Government has grown away past what our founding fathers would recognize... Thomas Jefferson warned that a corrupt judiciary could establish an oligarchy - and it appears that is just what they have done.
In Cal the federal courts have told the populace repeatedly that they have no say-so in how their government is run... does that help you at all to understand?
Amazing facts on Mass.
My BIL has a small plumbing business. I say small, but they only do residential homes of about $1 million and up. They run 12 trucks and make a 7 percent profit, which is an excellent margin for most businesses. The guy would be well off (and should be for the risk involved) if not for all of the *regulations*. He probably makes about what a cop makes...or a low level polititian.
I can only credit my sources; perhaps the discrepancy arises when Kerry factors in his 'family's' net worth. There is no doubt that when he ran for POTUS he claimed he and his wife to be worth about $3/4 Bill... and he paid less income tax than Geo Bush!!! There is no tax on wealth.

That about sums it up; he does all the work, he takes all the risks, he puts up all the front money -- and the oligarchs sit back and rake in his profits for themselves.
