I wonder if they'll ever catch Scott's assailant. I trust his ex-wife is out there searching diligently.

Grape Kool-Aid.

A point for Ann Coulter's next book: liberals never went to church or bible school. They got their befuddled theology from Star Trek and Superman comics.

May they get spanked and sent to their room by The Force.

Even sermons profit from an occasional fact. This fellow wouldn't know a fact if it nested in his trousers.

The new cocktail hour replaces wine and cheese.

Aw, it's OK, you can have that final slice of Brie with your cocktail. Furthermore, I think grape Kool-Aid is too blue collar. I think a glass of cyano-chardonnay would be more to the point. Just be careful to eat the Brie before sipping your wine.

Maybe the US can't find bona fide use for embryonic stem cells, but our friends to the north are really trying. The quest continues for a way to justify taking these little lives...

The CIHR has frankly acknowledged that it considers the human being at the embryonic stage as having no inherent moral status and that it can and should be used for research. The only ethical requirement acknowledged by Canada’s leading bioethicists is that the parents, or “donors,” of the embryos give consent.

Ping to wagglebee thread on the topic.

It's been done.

Y'know, poor ol' Jack Kevorkian crows about knocking off 150 people. He's a piker. Jim Jones, if I recall, got 900 -- SIX TIMES as many assisted suicides.

Not only that, he added immensely to the technique of Kool Aid as the solution.

Over and over, we see a kind of desperation to get at a patient's organs. Redefine death itself! Bend the rules! Bend the rules farther!

Money, money, money, money, money. Human organs are worth a bundle. Money drives the human chop shops.

Can't you just see them in the operating theater? "Nurse: Scalpel. Clamps. Gauze. Stopwatch on my signal... NOW!... We have five minutes, Harry, let's go have a smoke."

>> Later the family was successful in presenting such evidence to the Missouri courts, which ruled in the family’s favor.

That may have been where Felos learned that it takes more than one perjury to manufacture clear and convincing evidence.

Would you care to remove this eyesore?

Funny, I guess it's OK if Google posts it, but not if I do.

Any word on Nurse Schiavo's RN status for doing the same thing?

The problem is that Judge Greer was neither family or God. Greer was the govt and he didn't accept any evidence that was in Terri's favor.

Crist had a duty to investigate claims that Terri's civil rights had been violated (which they had been).

Terri's parents, brother and sister were not treated like family. They were treated like antagonists.

I'll never vote for Charlie Crist. He's a friend of Judge Greer which is the real reason Crist violated his oath. Fla AG's Civil Rights dept. is in Fort Lauderdale. Crist's fingerprints are on an 800 page Terri investigation that he said on television didn't exist. Crist cannot be trusted unless you happen to be Donald Trump. He can trust Charlie.

CARLA IYER ON HANNITY AND COLMES FRIDAY NIGHT:

You may have something there, bjs1779. If Carla gets due process, this could open up the entire "what really happened to Terri Schiavo" investigation which has never really been opened.

Carla would be allowed to do discovery and to present evidence. Can we trust Ken Burke, the Clerk of Pinellas County? That's the big question because he came to the 2005 Vigils at night but I'm not sure if he was there quietly to pray for Terri or if he was at the Vigil to spy for Judge Greer.

Terri's files were 51 volumes at the time of her murder.
