Terri's Day and nation's independence protects life culture

Kevin Fobbs May 29, 2006

America's Culture of Life is truly the legacy of one woman whose death forever changed our nation because of actions that were not in her hands but in those of her husband and his lawyers. Yet for millions of Americans we will forever link our own celebration of our nation's independence to the courage of the Schindler family to go forward past the tragedy, past the personal sorrow, past the searing anguish to help America draw a distinct line in the sand, to issue a clarion call to America.

Our 4th of July is coming... Our Culture of Life Independence Day is on its way. Our month of Independence is a message that March 31st (Terri's Day) will signal, that July 4th will signal... and that the month of July will signal to defend the Culture of Life before we lose it forever.

When we talked with our family members or even our neighbors or our friends we may have spent but a moment reflecting upon why we are even gathered on a Memorial Day afternoon. Do we think about the sacrifice of our soldiers and of their families? Do we think about the long goodbyes which are never long enough... as the military families send their loved ones to war, to battle, to stand firm for our freedoms... for our life... for our nation and its values of faith?

How does Terri Schiavo and her legacy tie into this? Terri's legacy and Terri's Day is a representation of a right to live, and freedom to have the liberty to not have it compromised away, devalued by inconvenience, or litigated away by judges who celebrate a culture of death that would rob life from the womb, steal life from a hospital or hospice bed, and destroy and shatter a family's love for a daughter, a sister and aunt who was given a gift from God, but had it separated from her as easily as an ant would have its life take by an uncaring shoe... extinguished forever.

The families who send their loved ones off to war have to wonder as well, does America value their sacrifice? The families of the military have to wonder just where does its society draw the line on its values? A soldier who is in battle in Iraq or Afghanistan has to wonder if a Florida judge can take away the life of an innocent, what is the measure of his life? Would a judge in America suddenly decide that if he were injured, if he had to sacrifice a limb that the protesters outside his hospital bed would have more rights than he would or his family? Would this soldier have to wonder that if he or his fellow soldier were killed in battle, that upon their return that the protesters who would stand outside of his funeral... have more rights to be protected than the rights his family would have to a military burial with honor?

You see, the Culture of Life is about Terri Schiavo, because Americans now have to examine the life of our culture itself. We have to wonder if we as a nation of Christians and of a nation of faith and of a nation of compassion would allow for a state to murder an innocent woman and strip her family of their loved one then as a nation would we allow America to have other symbols of life, of our nation to be peeled away as well, all in open sight and in plain view of a dispassionate nation?

What does our American Culture mean if we allow millions of illegal aliens to literally browbeat us into submission by demanding that because they have stolen across our borders, demanded and received protection from local law enforcement in numerous cities throughout the U. S., obtained free or reduced educational opportunities by state public colleges that our own children could not qualify to receive the same financial aid assistance for. Are we that defenseless to let illegals strip our state coffers of housing assistance for loans and mortgages when tens of thousands in almost every state in America have legal citizens who are homeless, impoverished, or working poor or middle class Americans who need similar assistance but cannot receive it. And they are legal! They are citizens! They are Americans.

What is so wrong about our nation when we are so ready to compromise our freedoms, our culture's life, the life of an innocent and the taking of any life is the taking of our own children's life and their child's. And with each successive generation the nation and its life, its values, its traditions, and its language will disappear because we as Americans were too preoccupied — too narrow — to see that an illegal alien was taking your child's education, that a crusading death culture judge was preparing a bed, a room, a legal precedent to take your child, grandchild or sister or parent.

That is why I have stayed my course to defend the Culture of Life and to ask my fellow Americans to begin to understand that as Terri Schiavo's life was slowly ebbing from her body and as her mother Mary, father Bob, sister Suzanne, and brother Bobby waited in the Florida early morning air on March 31st, 2005, America was having part of its soul ebb away as well.

What will it take to spark an interest, a concern, and a passion for protecting one's own life? Some may say that it would take a clear and present danger — like tanks rolling down your neighborhood street or another 9/11 that strikes at the heart of America. Do we have the convenience to wait? Do we wait until a state legislature in Maine or California or Delaware or Ohio or Illinois decides that your mother's decision to live is determined by a hospital "bean counter" who decides that your mother's life is not based upon a "Will To Live" but an ability to pay her bill? What about a baby, not born, but already set for murder in the womb — not because the mother is pro-life or pro-death but because "the law" says the unborn baby's life is expendable because the baby's genes are determined to be part of a class or a group or a race or of an ethnicity which pre-programs the child, un-born, to death?

America is being murdered in small pieces. It is seeing its values, its life, its culture disemboweled with the finesse of a skilled surgeon. And it is America's poll takers and its legislators and its uncaring, disinterested, and uninvolved who are handling the scalpel. Take the scalpel away. Contact www.Terrisfight.org to join the Foundation's battle to educate America about the right to live. Go to Terri's Day on www.kevinfobbs.com to learn about new updates on Terri's Day and the event to celebrate the Culture of life.

So on Independence Day and Independence month of July will we have any Americans who will sign up and join the Culture of Life movement in their community? Even if it is to sign a pledge, hand out a flyer, become aware of legislators and judicial candidates who have agreed to stand firm for the Culture of Life — a crusade that is based not only upon the life of Terri Schiavo's legacy but equally crucial based also upon the legacy of the right to live, to defend our culture and the life of its values.

Terri's Day is not the end of a national movement but the beginning of a national contract with itself to stand for a future that our nation can guarantee for its children and for a culture that will insure life. The right to live will be Terri's legacy — our legacy... one nation under God. Join us in your homes, on your family picnics, out camping and celebrating July 14th and 15th ... Our American Culture of Life belongs to each and every one of us... We must protect it. Let's celebrate together.

Will Nurse Carla Iyer get to do discovery and present evidence? You know, if Carla doesn't feel she can get a fair hearing in Florida, anything's possible. She could have an EEOC Hearing anywhere in the country imo if Tampa's Federal Court would be viewed as biased which they were because Judge Whittemore helped starve Terri to death.

ANYWAY, SHE'S GOING TO BE ON HANNITY AND COLMES ON FRIDAY NIGHT.

Federal Court Jury Trials (EEOC) are so complicated, we're talking exhibit lists, witness lists, thousands of pages. This might get interesting if Carla gets an EEOC Hearing. Or, if the licensing bureau drops the complaint, it would be on advice of their counsel.

It's the Sembler-Greer relationship and the Bush-Sembler relationships. I'm talking about POTUS-Semblers and Jeb-Semblers. Mrs. Sembler was Jeb's 2000 campaign manager. The son is Crist's campaign manager. The father Sembler was Greer's county commission campaign manager.

Sembler is Mr. Moneybags, a big developer and a big GOP fundraiser. The Semblers were at the inaugurations of the POTUS. They are hoity toity with Bush 41, 43 and Jeb.

Longstanding friendships & fundraising killed Terri but you didn't see that in the ME's report.

The lefty death lovers (there were lefties for Terri) is smitten with Terri in a sick sort of way. I guess when somebody is martyred as Terri was, she serves as a martyr for her base and for her enemies as well.

Terri's enemies are everybody's enemies. Being robbed and murdered - how can the left condone that forever? Something for them about Terri is unforgettable. So it is for us all.

FOX NEWS BULLETIN: NURSE CARLA IYER ON HANNITY FRIDAY NIGHT. Don't miss it.

That fountain is much larger than it appears in the jpeg. I was there on March 31st. Monsignor Malanowski was praying the Rosary and there were approx. 40 people who showed up there. A Mass for Terri was that evening at St. Pat's in Largo right after the Lent ceremony. Father Pavone conducted Terri's Mass for lots of folks who showed up to remember Terri and to honor her parents. A young lady sung Ave Maria. It was beautiful.

All it takes is for one person who thinks they are clever to slip up and it's on with the show. This could even affect the September 5th primary and the November election. Yes, it was an actual conspiracy, not just a theory. When cops follow you home, you realize how conspiratorial the need for Terri to die was.

Carla talking initially to the sheriff's dept. (bottomless pit) complicates the matter in her favor. Former Sheriff Rice would have to explain what they did with the information Carla provided.

He might have to explain why he hired Michael Schiavo, why he voted to starve Terri in Tallahassee and why he thinks he's qualified to be Florida's Attorney General. (Rice is like the sheriff on the original Dukes of Hazard with State Attorney Bernie McCabe as Boss Hogg. If they need to do a coverup, they ship it to Bernie - from anywhere in the state).

Dave Simmons of the Fla House Judiciary Committee said recently that he wanted to impeach George Greer. This is one year after said he was "going to impeach George Greer". Why do these politicians bother pretending they are going to act? Dave Simmons put in writing this year that he is considering impeaching George Greer.

Simmons knows it all. He's kind of stuck in the middle at this point. Constituents are hounding him but party big boys are pressing him.

It begs the question, "Is Judge Greer an asset or a liability to the GOP?

"Terri's death will save millions of lives." Jesse Jackson, March of 2005 CNN after mtg with Jeb. Then Jesse flies back to Tampa Bay and takes a limo to Hospice Woodside to get on the evening news. (I was home that afternoon and after I heard Jesse J. say that, I knew that Jeb wasn't saving anybody.) Jesse was supposed to go up to Tallahassee to beg Jeb to save Terri but it didn't turn out that way.

I don't remember the date Jesse met w/Jeb but it was a Wednesday. Dave Simmons told me the Monday before that Wednesday that Terri would be a martyr. They had no INTENTION to save Terri's life. It was all a ruse. Even what congress did in the same time frame was a ruse.

The evidence of a conspiracy is that Terri died even though supposedly all these people were helping her. It makes no sense at all.

Dave Simmons told a conference room of FIVE CITIZENS that Terri would be a martyr and also that he would see about impeaching Judge Greer. That doesn't make any sense. We went there to ask him to help save Terri and impeach Greer, not to snuff her life out and impeach Greer.

What proof that the meeting took place? They served us orange juice in his downtown Orlando office. His conference room has a large picture window overlooking Orlando's skyline.

Dave Simmons KNEW the day after Easter that Terri's rescue by the US Coast Guard had been cancelled. Somebody told him she was going to be a martyr.

Terri's rescue was cancelled the day after Easter (the day they voted to save her in D.C.). The public thought what congress did was what was really going on. But, what was really going on was that her rescue was cancelled and the courts already knew to stick with Judge Greer and to keep slamming doors for the Schindlers.

Every year since 1993, Assemblyman Richard Gottfried has introduced a bill that would give the families of incapacitated patients the legal right to make their medical decisions for them, and every year the measure has been neglected in Albany's end-of-session rush. This year was no exception.

The Family Health Care Decision Act is not as controversial as the bill that would that would have forced employers to give workers health insurance (which didn't make it to a vote after months of high-profile campaigning). It doesn't pack the financial punch of cuts to nursing homes or hospitals ($490 million of which were restored on the last day of the legislative session). But its fourteenth consecutive failure will have tragic implications for a number of New Yorkers, say health care advocates, the state bar association, and others who have been pushing for its passage for the last decade and a half.

COLUMBUS - Visitors to the Columbus Post Office have been dodging petition circulators for weeks, with many complaining of harassment and keeping them at arm's length while doing their daily postal business.

“We'll handle it like a trespass,'' Gumm said.

Nine initiative petitions are circulating this summer in Nebraska, including one that would establish a limit on the growth of state spending and a “Terri Schiavo amendment” that would make it illegal to withhold food or water from an individual, unless that person has made the their will known in an advance directive. A statutory proposal would re-establish the elementary-only Class I schools dissolved this summer by lawmakers.

Liberal Script Writing 101, Final Examination

Our characters for the next scene will be fundamentalist Christian ultra-rightwing space aliens who have the nerve to oppose desperately needed tax increases and who want to keep brain-dead cabbages alive on respirators until their organs rot. You write the script. How shall these throwback thugs be portrayed?

1) Rude, noisy, pushy, obnoxious, mentally defective yahoos? [Hint: you got it!]

Or, 2) --- ? [Sorry, we can't think of anything else that fits these stupid wingnuts.]

This test counts for 90% of your semester grade. Just answer "1" and you'll get an A.

I just love liberals preaching, don't you? In their skilled hands, the facts read like poetry.

>> This is hardly the violent liberal conspiracy darkly and breathlessly portrayed by the extreme right. Still, the facts did not get in the way of the right wing launching a vicious smear campaign full of inconsistencies and innuendo.

You should have gotten an "A" in self-esteem. Ms. Flinckx needs discipline. Have her report to me after school.

"I'll never vote for Charlie Crist."

Me either but I'm afraid he's gonna win. Every time a commercial comes on it's Charlie's.

Thanks, wagglebee. A thread from Mrs. Don-O on do-it-yourself enthanasia and putting a happy face on murder...

THE MAN I KILLED did not want to die, but he no longer felt he had much of a choice. He had gone from being tall and strapping, full of appetites and a brilliant manner of speech, to a skeleton, weak and full of messy needs.

He and his wife still loved each other very much, but... he was 60 when he was diagnosed with cancer.

"We're talking about the Beatles and `Love Child' and round, purple glasses. And we wear the badge proudly. I'm an old hippie."

And how does a hippie grow old?

That's easy. "Hey, we never do. We just progress," she says without missing a beat.

Thanks, BykrBayb, wagglebee. Ping to thread on what a Pro Life group did...

WICHITA, June 29, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The pro-life group Operation Rescue has announced that it has purchased the building that housed Central Women's Services, an abortion mill located at 3013 E. Central in Wichita, Kansas. Central Women's Services had not been able to pay the rent, and the property was put up for sale. When Operation Rescue purchased the property, under the stipulation that the current tenant not be allowed to remain, it forced the mill to close.

Anne Lamott may be the most smug, sanctimonious writer on the planet. To be sure, she writes well. All she has to say, however, is, "I am SO so so interesting, so wonderful, so perfect." Don't open one of her books without a barf bag.

>> "Tune in, turn on, drop out. Free love. Everything was free. No responsibility. We all still have that kind of feeling, that free spirit," she says.

The rads and flower children swore never to grow up, and they continue to do a fine job of being brats.

She's a damn murderess, nothing more and nothing less. Not that long ago she would be imprisoned for what the left is now gushing about.

Plus she killed two of her babies, yes?

That's a bit of what I mean about her being "sanctimonious." After disobeying God over and over and over, she holds herself up as righteous for her very disobedience! Holier than God, I guess.

These parasites kill anyone who interferes with their Utopian views or is simply inconvenient.
