I have a mixed reaction on this report. Certainly the intellectual, religious and business classes have gone this way, but I find that much of the middle class does not.

I have been over twice in the last 8 months and I remarked at the time about the cold fury that many Europeans, particularly working class and middle class Europeans, have for the Moslems who do not assimilate.

The problem is that Europe is still a very rigid class-filled society. Most of those who really want to draw lines do not have the leaders and the leaders they do have cannot command respect among the elite leaders who continue to run things.

The author is right on one thing--it is up to the US to lead.

Our politicians can't even lead the U.S. out of its own assimilation being accomplished by our southern illegal neighbors.
