Here is what was once the most cutting edge, forward looking pro-business state in the nation taking half the night to report on an election that totals about 200,00 votes. Just about every other state nationwide, in a what was a good sized primary night has posted their election results and gone to bed, and the socialist, Democrat state of California is having wonderful evening in the never/neverland of the left-wing moonbats that run the state and county elections. A sad story for the once leader state of the nation. America take heed!!!

KOGO just reported the early absentee results as "new" results, drawing cheers. Is any adult in charge there?

Really? You're kidding, right?

Nope.

The winner tonight (presumably Bilbray) fills out Cunningham's remaining term, then has to run again in the regular election this November.

I heard that she's going to argue that the illegal alien turnout was suppressed.

Roger had her on the phone Monday afternoon; she would not allow Roger to play the recording-she kept saying, "I don't need to hear it, I know what I said", she talked a little more to Rog then amazingly she said again! Roger let it go for awhile then one of her aides advised her of her "error"; she got upset, told Roger she misspoke again and abruptly hung up on Hedgecock.

then has to run again in the regular election this November.

Nothing wrong with that. He will have the advantage of incumbency, which is not an insubstantial advantage.

It gets much tougher for the Democrats to win in District 50 after tonight.

Wait a minute here.

Cunningham would have been up for re-election anyway. So why does Bilbray have to "fill out the term?"

This is a whole new election cycle, no?

GREAT News!!! I'm sooo glad I stayed up to get the word...thank you!.

Now, what fun it will be to hear all the democrat experts hit the talk show circuit first thing this morning, saying Bilbray's win means nothing. The spinning will make us dizzy!

I agree. I only pointed it out because there seemed to be some confusion on this thread because Bilbray and Busby are on the ballot twice, once for the special election and once for their respective parties in the general election.

Some people were looking at the general election results and saying Bilbray was losing, which wasn't true.

I'll also say that the special election doesn't appear to be as close as the pundits predicted.

Now the KOGO guy says, "the results are coming in fast and furious now", which, of course, they are not. Nice hype.

He wasn't up for re-election in June. Since his seat is now vacant, a special election was held to fill it until November.

The people of San Diego need an interim representative, doesn't make sense they should go without a congressman just because of Cunningham going to jail. Same thing happens if a congressman dies while in office.

This election outcome has proved what I have been saying all along, the Pubbies, in spite of their ineptness and whimpyness, will not only hold the House and Senate, they will gain seats! Why? Not one voter in their right mind will ever truat the Democrat Party to protect the nation and our people, including our future, our precious children and grand children. The Democrat Party needs its heart ripped out at the core by the American voter!!!
