Europe , and indeed all the West and/or all non-muslim countries face a decision ; to coddle and cater to moslems and their ever growing demands for power within their newly adopted societies , or to retain all that is culturally precious and significant to themselves.
We cannot have it both ways. Islam will not ever co-exist for long with any other culture or religion . It never has and never will.

Very typical Muslim double-speak. They say they are against the violence, yet they don't want to feel pressured to publically assert that. Suuuurrree....

I suppose we are just supposed to somehow "know", through osmosis maybe, that they don't support beheadings of infidels.

Very convenient for them to give themselves an "out" so they don't have to publically take a stance. But that is typical of Muslims. They shirk personal responsibility at every turn and project blame back to the victims.

Exactly! And many of them harbor the unspoken feeling that if they were better Muslims they too would joy the jihad.

One did tell me he planned on joining the jihad...that was shortly before he threatened to hunt me down and murder me for witnessing to him and other muslims. (that was one of two different muslims that have threatened to murder me). So yes, I'm familiar with the "Religion of Peace" first hand.

Why, many Muslims ask, should they have to speak out against, or apologize for, actions of radicals who do not represent them - people they do not even regard as true Muslims?

When I worked at AT&T Bell Labs, I had the pleasure of knowing a half dozen really nice Arab, Iranian, and Afghan engineers whom I worked on I.C. design projects with. Each of them was a gentlemen. I know for a fact they liked me as a person. I constantly forgot they where muslims. In two cases I was invited to their homes. In each case, they where fully accepted by all others. No distinction was made on who one might sit down next to in say the cafferia for lunch, or a smoke break etc.. I learned early on how thankfull they where to be able to come to America, to get away from the hell holes they where born in.
They wanted no parts of the madness, religious yoke, etc., their families where born into. The simply wanted to live in peace, and provide a safe place for their families to live.
I am sure this example can be extrapulated out by the tens of thousands, probably millions who rather live in peace in the west.

No offense intended, but you're being too rational...the muslims I have talked with would not have extended the same allowance for being in allah's will to non-muslims.

Not at all difficult to understand all of this. You make a remark, draw a cartoon, write a song and some really bad guys come and blow up your family and castrate you.

In an environment where the "moderates" are in fear of what "extremists" may do, but the extremists have no risk of being strung up, the extremists win
