I will miss my Aunt Margaret dearly. As she has been wonderful to me since I met her, Uncle Bernie, Kevin, Steve and Jennifer for the first time 38 years ago. The meeting was very, very special to me. Call it a twist of fate or a spiritual intervention, God definitely had his hand in this meeting. At the time I was 11 years old and new of none of my fathers family until my friend with a famous name, John Kennedy not only wanted to introduce me to whom he insisted was my cousin, but also had to convince me Kevin was my cousin. The meeting took place, he was in fact a cousin I didn't know. I was anxious to meet the rest of the family, which I did right away. They immediately became my extended family, through them, I was able to meet my father for the first time. This family has always been and will always be special to me. I have had the wonderful opportunity through email to continue to keep in touch with Aunt Margaret thoughout the past several years despite the distance of living in different states. I am so grateful that we had the many wonderful communications that we had. She has always accepted me with open arms and a big smile was ALWAYS on her face everytime I saw her. She was always a warm, caring and loving person without fail. She will be remembered dearly within my heart until the day we shall meet again.

Debbie

Debbie, what a wonderful happening. Maggie always had a smile in her writing which you seem to also have.

I'm glad to meet you cuz. Extended family, no matter how distant, whether is with spirit or with blood, should always know each other. And I truly believe we do, just ask Nan!!

Now, Debbie, you got to love Nan, 'cause she was Maggie's sistah, but watch out 'cause she's something else!!!!!!

Nan, you've got to read Debbie story at post 462.

Dixie

In reading your post, I remembered that I have missed my yearly neurological checkup - he test me for two things, the first of course is my progress in controlling the Epilepsy, etc and then he looks in my ears to see if he can see anything and if that doesn't work, he tells me to shake my head to see if he can hear anything rattling around. My doctors cuter than yours!

Mom, So sorry to hear this sad news--didn't know about her passing until you told Dennis. I know you are sad as she was such an inspiration to you.

Lady X was always a sane and measured voice even when conversations could get a little out of hand in the early days of FR. I know she knew you loved her and cared deeply for her. You don't have to wonder where Lady X is right now and I think that is one of the greatest gifts we can give those we love. She touched many, many lives and the wake of sorrow left behind is a testament to her strong spirit filled life. I am thankful she gave you a special friendship.

Lady X. I am glad you will not have anymore pain from your physical body, but your passing will leave a void here on earth and at FR. Thank you for being such a good and faithful friend to my mother.

So enormously sorry to hear of our Maggie's passing. Heartfelt condolences to all her loved ones and friends. Maggie will be so sorely missed. I will miss those always witty 'Dear John' letters of hers.

I never had the fortune to meet her personally, only spoke to her over the phone earlier this month. She was so friendly and kind -- like we had known each other a lifetime. What a kind and gentle soul she was. Great sense of humor.

She is home with the Lord now, but she left our world a better place than she found it. Of that there can be no doubt. Thanks to her profound love for America and her burning patriotism. Her life was a model to emulate and an inspiration to all of us. We are all richer for having known her, this wonderful, precious soul.

May she rest in peace.

Amen. I've been away too long (not allowed to post from work), but I wanted to say, too, I'll miss Maggie's posts. She had a good sense of humor, a firm faith in God, and she didn't have a polarizing view of politics or the world. She was, and in Heaven still is, a loving, uniting kind of person.
