Rather has gone mad!

It would be sad, if he didn't have it coming.

NOTES ON PEOPLE; Rather Withdraws Charges Against Cab Driver

By ALBIN KREBS and ROBERT MCG. THOMAS
A follow-up: Although he still contends that a Chicago cab driver held him captive on a wild ride at high speed, following a dispute over addresses last fall, the CBS correspondent Dan Rather says he'd rather drop the whole thing. Mr. Rather said in a statement Thursday night that he was dropping disorderly conduct charges against Eugene Phillips, the taxi driver, because of a ''mounting schedule of reporting assignments,'' which would conflict with his pressing the case.

Dan Rather worships Fidel Castro and has had a crush on Bill Clinton for a long time. He is neither an icon nor an idol - he is a blubbering idiot condemned by his own feeble rationalizations.
