Hizbullah leader promises enemy 'more surprises'
Daily Star ^ | July 17, 2006 | Therese Sfeir

Posted on 07/16/2006 2:12:12 PM PDT by NYer

BEIRUT: In his third televised speech since the Israeli war on Lebanon, Hizbullah secretary general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the resistance would use all possible means to defend Lebanese territory.

"Hizbullah is strong enough to achieve victory over the Israelis," he said. "The enemy cannot impose on us when and where to attack or how to react."

"We will continue. We still have a lot more and we are just at the beginning," Nasrallah said in a taped appearance aired on Sunday evening. "We promise them surprises in [any] confrontation."

"In the beginning, we started to act calmly, we focused on Israeli military bases and we didn't attack any settlement," Nasrallah said. "However, since the first day, the enemy attacked Lebanese towns and murdered civilians."

The resistance leader said Hizbullah militants had destroyed military bases, while the Israelis killed civilians and targeted Lebanon's infrastructure. He added that Hizbullah's arsenal had yet to take a direct hit "and so far we have used a small portion of our weaponry."

Addressing the Israeli Army, Nasrallah said: "The houses you attacked are occupied by innocent people; they don't contain any weapons or missiles."

"I also want to address the Israeli people and tell them 'Your government is lying to you. I tell you that you will be defeated,'" he said.

"I assure you that Israel has no idea about our capacities. We built our arsenal in a very secretive way," he said.

Nasrallah also commented on the rocket bombardment of the Israeli city of Haifa.

"As long as the enemy has no limits, we will have no limits," he said.

Nasrallah added that despite the violent and continuous raids on the South and Beirut's southern suburbs, "Hizbullah has not lost its "determination."

"They are planning to enter the Lebanese land," Nasrallah said. "We tell them that we are eagerly awaiting land confrontations. Any land confrontation will be good news for us."

Nasrallah also spoke directly to the Lebanese people.

"You are a great people," he said of the Lebanese. "We can depend on you to save Lebanon from humiliation. Don't worry about what is being destroyed, but we hope that the wounded will recover and that all the people will be safe."

Nasrallah also denied the presence of Iranian soldiers in Lebanon.

The resistance leader addressed Arab and Islamic countries, saying: "I know that your governments are incapable of doing anything, but you are concerned and should take a position over what is happening."

"If Israel achieved victory, all the Arab peoples would be humiliated and the US interference in our affairs would increase," he added. "Today, we have a historic opportunity to defeat our Israeli enemy."promises enemy 'more surprises'

The biggest surprises are when the individual Islamofascist terrorists are dispatched out of this world and into the next, and THAT is when they discover that "allah" is nothing more than a demon answering to that name, and that demon is just one more of Satan's minions.

Then it's "all ABOARD! next stop the "Hot Spot Cafe", your non-stop buffet consisting of your fellow terrorists plus 72 Helen Thomas-lookalikes are eagerly waiting to begin YOUR eternity!

Oh yeah, LOTS of surprises in store for that bunch.

Sounds like he is trying to convince the Lebanese that
he belongs there and will protect them.
But the Israeli strikes are convincing the Lebanese to
get rid of the Hezbollah...
I think that's why the Israeli's destroyed egress and
ingress to the cities, to keep Hezbollah localized,
and let the indigenous population have their
way with Hezbollah(not to mention...snipers). This may be very interesting. Also, since the Palestinians are
bearing the brunt of the action and fear, it may make
them think twice about voting for Hamas or Hezbollah
backed candidates...since it may come down upon their
heads instead of the candidates....
How this plays out will tell very much about the
general population support of Hezbollah/Hamas

Israel should quit playing pat-a-cake with these crazies and flatten southern Lebanon with carpet bombing. Any civilians who are still hanging around after the last four days have a death wish anyway, and their demise should be chalked up to choosing to live in Hezbollah territory.

My Maronite pastor returned from Lebanon only last week. Today he asked us to pray for Lebanon and Israel. He said the best thing that could happen to Lebanon would be for Israel to continue bombing until all traces of Hizbollah and the Syrian presence are eradicated. He totally agreed with your assessment.

All your Silkworm are belong to us.

Seriously, if Hez has promised "surprises", and only managed to kill a few Israeli sailors (for which Israel destroyed the coastal radar sites), then what level of "surprise" awaits?

I think that Hez are such liars they believe their own lies.

Advanced missiles are no good if they cannot be aimed, or targeted. Don't forget that Hez launched two missiles at the Israeli ship and one hit an Egyptian ship far out at sea instead.

Remember these words of President Bush?

We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.

The only thing about this garbage that worries me is the nagging question about chemical weapons secreted in the Bekaa Valley. If those old speculations turn out to have been correct then this macho gibberish could actually make sense. If so, it will be a whole new picture soon, albeit not a very nice one.

Nah. It's their petite weenies. Islamists have to be the most insecure people on the planet. Why else would they be so afraid of opposing views that they have to kill everybody around them? IMO, theirs is a culture of massive ineptitude, intolerance, and cowardice.

When this Nasarallah guy speaks, I don't see swagger or machismo. I really don't think he is capable of either one. IMHO, there is absolutely nothing masculine about any group of terrorist thugs, nothing. A Barbie doll is more macho than these impotent lunatics could ever dream about being.

I was watching CNN and they interviewed folks as they came into Syria from Lebanon. They said they supported Hez and were angry with Israel. I have to take into account they get warped news, like shooting down an Israeli aircraft when it was pieces of the missles Israeli had bombed.
I'd be angry if I lived in Lebanon that Hez (the Syrian/Iranian Army) caused this and the Lebonese wimp army wasn't strong enough to care. So I ask myself, did they really care or were they just all in on it allied in their hatred for Israel?
