Bill Press gets taken in by Lovenstein IQ hoax
billpresssshow.com ^ | July 18, 2006 | Bill Press

From the page of Bill Press' podcast website:

July 18, 2006 Parting Shot

Nate wrote this at 8:56 am:

In six years in the White House, George W. Bush has screwed up so many things, you have to wonder: Is he unlucky or incompetent?

Well, now we know.

Thanks to the Lovenstein Institute of Scranton, Pennsylvania, which just released a study of the IQ of twelve American presidents, over the last 50 years. And the results are – well, not surprising.

The average IQ of six Republican presidents – Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush 41, and Bush 43 – was 115.5. President Nixon topped the list, at 155.

The average IQ of six Democratic presidents – Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, and Clinton – was 156. With President Clinton leading the class at 182.

The smartest president of the last 50 years?

You guessed it: Bill Clinton, with his 182 IQ.

The least intelligent president of the last 50 years?

You guessed it again: George W. Bush, with his rock bottom IQ of 91: seven points lower than his Daddy.

So now we know. Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Social Security, Medicare, Stem Cells, FEMA, the deficit, immigration…

The reason George Bush has screwed up in so many areas the last six years.

He’s not just incompetent. He’s just plain dumb – the dumbest president in the last 50 years. And, probably, the dumbest president ever!

That’s my parting shot for today. I’m Bill Press.

Yes. LOL. That's exactly the message I just sent to him with a link to the snopes findings. "You did not succeed in your attempt to expose the President as stupid, and, indeed, you exposed your own apparent lack of intelligence. This was exposed as a hoax five years ago."

It's sad the host of that show died in a plane crash earlier this year.

"Ah, yes. I know people with that and it even clouds their ability at work."

I have worked with people like that. One lasted only one month before I ran him off the jobsite. Nothing but HATEBUSHHATEBUSHBUSHISSTUPIDNOWARFOROIL...... And this bozo claims to be an engineer? I wound up having to fix 3/4's of what little work he did. I will say one thing for the dude, he would have fit in well in Minnesota.

And isn't it funny how Dems. claim Bush never had any success or made anything of himself before becoming president. Bush was the successful owner of a profitable baseball franchise and came into the White House a millionaire with his own money, not daddy's. What was Gore ever other than a hack politician??

What was Gore ever other than a hack politician??

Let's see. How about war hero, tobacco farmer, investigative reporter, environmental scientist and inventor of the Internet for starters?

And while we're at it, what was Bubba Clinton ever other than a hack politician, or Hitlery Clinton, or Lurch Kerry, or any of the Kennedy's, or Johnson, or any other Dempcrap presidential candidate for the past century? The only one I can think of who ever had a paying job was Give'em-Hell Harry, and he sold men's suits off the rack. Not exactly a great legacy, is it?

This seems to explain why the Democraps are so eager to give away money wrung out of the working class. They have no concept of gainful employment, let alone owning a business.

"They all have different (slightly in some cases) scales so the only way to compare is to go by the percentile for a given score for that test."

There are only two generally recognised IQ tests that are used for adults. Those tests are the Stanford-Binet and the WAIS. Both tests do not vary in any meaningful way concerning what they are designed to measure, namely "g" or general intelligence.

How many people do you really know with an IQ of 92?

More than you think. 100 is average -- you should know as many folks with 92 as you do with 108.

It generally takes scores into the lower 80s and below to be truly mentally challenged.

Didn't you use this "Lovenstein Institute" in one of your spam spoofs?

Yes I did. I was Dr. Werner R. Lovenstein and I snuck in references to Marcus Welby and the movie Its a Mad, Mad, Mad World. :-)

Just wait until he uses the defense, "It may be fake, but I believe it is 100% accurate."

This is the EXACT defense almost every liberal gives once they learn that they have been taken in by the lovenstein hoax. I've seen it happen dozens of times on message boards and blogs.

"Well, it may be a hoax, but its still close to the truth!"

Bill just proved that he's as gullible as every other pseudo intellectual

The number one requirement to be a Democrat is to be gullible.
