Abdullah Warns of Jordanian Hizbullah
YNET News ^ | 8/3/06

Posted on 08/03/2006 9:41:31 AM PDT by areafiftyone

King Abdullah of Jordan said Thursday evening that even if Hizbullah is defeated, peace will not come, and other similar organizations in other countries will be set up.

"Even if Hizbullah is destroyed, no solution will be found. After a year or two a new Hizbullah will be set up in other countries, maybe in Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Iraq," he said.

During an interview given by the Jordanian king to two Jordanian newspapers, (al-Rai and al-Rad), he said: "We've warned for a few months

that the situation in the region is unacceptable and that deep solutions must be found to the reasons causing the tension. We must be concerned for the fate of Iraq if Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki doesn't succeed, as we will all pay a heavy price. Regarding the situation in Lebanon – we must stop the aggression on Lebanon. They want to destroy Hizbullah with Israeli tanks and the Israeli Air Force, but peace will be obtained by returning occupied territories and the establishment of a Palestinian state; that is the only solution."

"Even if Hizbullah is destroyed and no solution is found to the Palestinian, Lebanese, or Syrian problem, after a year or two a new Hizbullah will be set up in different countries, maybe in Jordan, Syria, Egypt, or Iraq. Israel must understand this. There's no solution in south Lebanon without an agreement with the Lebanese government. There's no solution in Palestine without returning the Palestinian rights," the king said.

In the same breath he chose to condemn Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's realignment plan: "We reject the plans of the Israeli prime minister which aspire to take unilateral steps. We believe that the United States understands this now and the Israelis should also understand this."

'We will aid Lebanon as much as needed'

He later added: "As long as there is aggression and occupation – there will be resistance and support for resistance."

During the interview the king asked for an immediate ceasefire and expressed his bitterness for the battle wreckage caused to Lebanon and the "terrible act of butchery in Qana."

When asked whether his country intends to participate in the multi-national force, he answered with a definitive no. "Jordan won't participate in such forces, but we will aid Lebanon as much as needed," he said.

The king was asked about the axis between Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, which in effect positioned his country against Hizbullah at the start of the fighting, albeit behind the scenes. "We are not for policies of 'an axis,'" Abdullah said, rejecting the idea politely. "But are we forbidden from meeting, consulting, and taking similar stances?" he added.

The king was asked whether he intended to withdraw his new ambassador in Israel back to Jordan due to the situation in Lebanon. "We'll do what will be best for our homeland and for the good of our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon," he said.

Okay. It's all hopeless. We'll just have to let Israel get overrun by its enemies, pull out of Iraq and shiver under our covers. While we're at it, we'll throw up our hands on domestic terrorists, too. Let them do what they think best. And we'll stop trying to get our own kids to live stable, honest lives and just tell them to become hedonistic hippies, since they are just going to do it anyway. And we'll let abortionists kill as many babies as they want. (Oh, wait. They already do.) And we'll turn in our guns since it's the only way to end the hate and killing. We give up. There's no way.

This sounds like the same old stuff - the Moslem way or die. This is a cultural fight to the death, and our folks are more concerned about gay rights and the minimum wage.

Abdullah and his wife have always been pro-Palestinian and have given tons of money to them - actually his wife has marched in quite a few pro-palestinian/anti-Israel protests!

Was wondering out the Jordanian portion of Psalm 83 would come into play. He's no more moderate than the rest of them. He just doesn't say it so blatantly as Ahmadinejad does.

He's correct.

Heres the deep solution which should have been undertaken 9/12/01.

Well, Abdullah - if you want to save your country from what's happening in Lebanon right now then keep Hell's-bullah out of Jordan! It's that simple.

If he is correct then Israel should keep as much territory as possible if not acquire more. If war is inevitable they might as well have as much strategic depth as possible.

She's Palestinian.

Formerly Rania Al-Yasin, she was born in Kuwait to a Jordanian family of Palestinian origin who certainly did not anticipate her royal future. In fact, she had already earned her bachelor's degree in business administration at the American University in Cairo and, fluent in Arabic and English, had begun a career at Citibank when she was introduced to Abdullah Bin Al-Hussein, the son of Jordan's King Hussein, at a party. Less than six months later, in June of 1993, the two married. But because Prince Abdullah was not crown prince, neither he nor his new wife anticipated inheriting the throne.

King Abdullah ought to take a lesson to what his father did, not what he said.

His father, King Hussein, took care of the dangerous PLO and Palestinians pretty handily when they got uppity and threatened his regime. He killed over 10,000 of them and drove most of them out into Syria and Lebanon.

Force seemed to work pretty good for him, especially when he got serious and ruthlessly killed thousands of them!

UH, Abdullah, wasn't that what the Israelis tried to do when they pulled out of the West Bank???? Nothing will ever be enough for the islamofascists EXCEPT the extermination of Israel and the US and Europe and everyone who isn't the proper shade of mooslim.

But Muslims can kill Muslims by the thousand and the world will say "Boys will be boys". OTH - If jews kill a handful of Muslims in self defense, the world will say"Blood thirsty monsters."

It would be nice if we could relocate Israel to the Nevada desert for a few years. They'd increase American prosperity, and the Muslims would be free to do what they do best, slaughter each other.

giving away all Israel solves nothing. the islamic lust for conquest would only be aroused. there is a fundamental solution, but abdullah doesn't want to face it, let alone admit it - conversion of the islamic world to the Truth.

Abdullah and his wife have always been pro-Palestinian

Well his father wasn't so very "pro Palestinian". In fact by kicking the PLO out of Jordan and into Lebanon, it can be argued that he, King Hussein, caused the Lebanese "civil war", the Israeli intervention therein, the creation of Hezbollah and the current Hezbo-Israeli war.

Push comes to shove, you might be surprised. The man, like his father is a Sandhurst (British Royal Military Academy, more or less their West Point, but much older)) graduate. He served with the British Army in Germany, and when tapped to become King, was the head of the Jordanian special forces, and in charge of securing the Syrian border.

The Israelis are not demonstrating with their dead in the streets, yelling and chanting and asking for revenge. The Israelis are not brainwashing their children in military training camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause maximum deaths. They don't highjack planes, nor kill athletes at the Olympics; they don't traffic in slaves, nor have their leaders called for Jihad and death to the "Infidels."

Israel doesn't have the economic strength of the Petroleum Cartel, nor the presumption to force the world's media to see "their side" of the question. Perhaps if the world's Muslims could invest more in education and less in blaming others for all their problems, we could all live in a better world.
