I firmly believe that this should be countered by all freedom-loving Americans who support the United States and Israel, our faithful ally and the only (until recently) democracy in the Middle East, defending itself from the genocidal Nazi-like assault. Let's meet at the statue of Kate Sessions near the corner of 6th and Laurel at 11:30 on Saturday, 8/12/06, and greet the Nazi sympathithers with our counter-demonstration.

We love the Protest Warriors here. "Belly Girl" is ubiquitous....
I hope you have a great turnout for the counter protest. My suggestion for a Protest Warrior type sign "Islam - We will not tolerate Tolerance!!"
We are frequently less earnest than Protest Warriors. A lot of our threads degenerate into "A moose once bit my sister" and "All your base belong to us" references, but we have many members doing the Lord's work, in particular our DC Chapter.

Don't sweat this "you shouldn't post when you sign up" bs. Some Freepers are closet hall monitor types who have nothing better to do in life rag on people about stupid azz sh!t like this. Ignore them.
I am doing you a favor by pinging Mr. Silverback to your thread. He has posted on another thread earlier today about a similar protest in LA.
Mr. Silverback has a list of CA Freepers that he can ping to draw attention to your post. I know that there is a way to see how many folks have viewed your post, I'm just not sure how to do it. (There are usually a lot more views than there are responses.)
By keeping up a dialog, our new posts appear at the top of the threads for those folks who have their preferences set to "new posts" instead of "new articles." That's what I mean by BTTT. It Bumps To The Top of the forum posts.
By having your preference set to "new posts" it helps to keep track of those folks that are still awake when us East Coasters are asleep.

Nope. I pinged to a newbie freeper with protest warrior creds. By posting to Free Republic (and not getting Zotted out of existence) you are a freeper now. I'd love to help but I'm in Jacksonville, FL. My way of helping is to keeping bumping your thread to the top to give folks an opportunity to see it, rather than dropping off the radar due to lack of responses. Other folks who think this post is worthy will probably also BTTT.

I was silent through all of the 2000 recount- and I live in FL and am married to a dem. But after 9/11 I had to find a place to vent that wasn't part of the "Blame America First" mindset. Thank God for Free Republic.

Mine, also. My father was an infantryman in New Guinea and the Philippines. My uncle was a B-17 navigator in the 8th Air Force until he was shot down and spent the remainder of the war in Stalag Luft something or other.
I think the German invasion of the Soviet Union might be the biggest single catastrophe in history because of the area it covered and the number of people affected. I pray the we in the United States never learn what the people of the Ukraine and other eastern European lands learned in 1941-45.
