Well, the joke's on you then. It's evident to any reasonable person that the media isn't inventing these Harris stories; her actions amount to sabotaging her own campaign.

Did you read the article? It's all about why.

Please, read my posting. I wish I knew why the Republican party of FL is gunning for her so strongly. She is working under the cloud of, "If you work for her, you ain't working for us". With bad advice or no advice things like this may happen.

I wish I knew why the GOP has abandoned her.

Rep. Harris may not be inclined to endorse the mediocre BS that passes for performance in the public and private arena. Her criticisms are probably well deserved.

Talk about mediocre!

She's about to get her form-fitting butt handed to her in November for one of the worst campaigns in modern political history.

Instead of raising money, she's arranging desks of her staffers.

Unfortunately, I only get down to Sarasota / LBK a couple of times a year. The rest of my visits are all Tampa / Orlando. But the whole family gets together at LBK every July/Aug. - that was last week. It'll probably be next year before I get down there with any free time, but I'll let ya know. I love cruising the rivers in FL. When I lived in Orlando, it was about the only boat time I got.

Oh, and from one who isn't there everyday, the appearance is that Buchanan has all of Sarasota completely blanketed with his signs. I was actually looking for someone else's sign, and didn't see it. He has cornered the ubiquity market.

Who is this Vern Buchanan guy? Is anyone running against him in Harris' district?




Buchanan is a multi millionaire who has already spent 1.1 million to get name recognition. The local newspaper has hinted at some unusual Buchanan business arangements that the Dems will likely make a campaign issue should he get the nomination.


The best candidate to beat the leading Dem candidate (banker) Christine Jennings is conservative Tramm Hudson also a former banker who has a squeaky clean reputation.

Tramm has been involved in stengthening the Sarasota GOP for over six years and he's the best one to take on Jennings.

A new poll conducted by the Tarrance Group (www.tarrance.com) shows Tramm Hudson surging to a 12-point lead in the District 13 Republican primary. Thirty-five percent (35%) of likely Republican primary voters indicate they would vote for Hudson, while Vern Buchanan currently receives twenty-three percent (23%) of the vote.

Wow. That name recog thing must not be workin' out too well for him. I've got those signs burned into my brain, and didn't know anything at all about the guy before two hours ago.

If he is getting outpolled that badly with his name in everyone's face, that isn't a good sign (npi) for Vern.

Have you all noticed that most of the complaining about KH being petty and shallow is ... well, petty and shallow?

Because her critics, and I loosely call them that because I respect my FR membership, are incapable of debating the facts and Harris' strong conservative stand on the issues, so they have to resort to gleefully posting innuendo and hearsay from former flunkies who are more interested in polishing their resumes and moving up the RNC chain than actually helping Harris.
