Thanks for the ping, fanfan. I was looking for this article after hearing Ms. Chesler on Bill Bennett's radio program. I see my problem was that I did not know how to spell Phyllis.

In short, there is nothing good about the Islamic cult. It is unnatural and psychologically deforming, and it is not surprising that, in addition to the violence constantly urged in its scriptures, it creates violence and rage through its family and social structures as well.

Very accurately and well said.

If that is indeed a true quote from Patton (please provide link), that is incredible.

The Left Media go a long way in encouraging both Terrorists from the Middle East and "home grown",

_______________________

It is clear to many that the media is the loudest and shrillest voice of terrorism. Media zealots, unable to report the truth, create news by fomenting rage among the emotionally disabled. Similarly, the Democrat party is in lockstep with Marxist/fascist fanaticism.
Leftist movement links to Al Quida and Islamofascism need only be revealed. Their intellectual and political roots have common ancestry. They were a critical component of WWII, the Cold War and Vietnam. They are as fundamentally aligned today.
There can be no wonderment that Leftist extremists in our culture belittle efforts to encounter Islamofascism. They are branches of the same root. Lenin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin, Aristide, Castro, Mao, Taliban, Hussein, Khomeni and Al Quida find their roots in social democrat fascism. Marx, Engels and a host of American and European 19 century intellectuals are at the root of their evil philosophy.
Islamofasists may cynically use the cover of the Muslim faith but they are Marxist fascists through and through.
The MSM can not tell this story because it does not have the intellectual integrity or ability to do so. It is captive to its handlers, social democrats and fascists all.

I don't think anyone was saying he was being ridiculed for his height, I think they were saying it was his own feelings toward his height.

One from Winston Churchill 1899

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 [London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899])

"How come insulting ugly or fat people is rude, but insulting small men is ordinary ..."

IMHO, because - not withstanding it's many valid points - the entire article reeks of sexist agenda driven radical feminist bias & hypocrisy.

The reality of female violence & atrocities, particularly against males, is completely ignored.

As example, there are many well-documented instances of Muslim women mutilating the corpses of murdered 'infidels'.

In the cited case of Marc Lepine, actually his father abused his mother who then abused him both illustrating the reality of on-going non-gender-based circles of domestic violence & begging the question of who (& of which gender) was the abuser of Lapine's father?

What doesn't fit with the author's analysis are statistics (like those well-documented by Stats Canada) which show that acts of violence are virtually equally divided between the sexes &, thus, indicate that violence is a societal rather than a gender based problem. The intentional ignoring of same both feeds what's become a radical feminist funding 'domestic violence industry' throughout North America & works to advance the left's war against the traditional family by demonizing males & promoting self-serving acrimony between the sexes.

Yes, a good point and the others on this thread are likewise good. Looked at from a sociological view, everything said is at least plausible.

The only thing I could add is from the individual point of view. In the end-of-the-world Protestant heresies it is important to note that when the end of the world does not occur, proselytizing increases rather than decreases and another date is set.

Uncertainty of faith is a common experience. Some look for external reinforcement in the physical world. Others redouble efforts and deny their doubts by become super religious with an unquestioning mind.

Some seek to prove their faith with vehemence--I think this is the way some Muslims react. Rather than face their doubts they attack the source of their doubts. Others facing doubt and despair engendered thereof are eager to die as jihadists or suicide bombers. Again, proving their faith, denying their doubts and ending their uncertainty with suicide.

I do believe the Muslims are facing a crisis of doubt and uncertainty. Soon this will crumble under as the individual doubters become the movers and shakers. In the meantime they and we suffer.

Never underestimate the need for an individual to find certainty where none exists. Out of this goal or need much evil occurs.

"Well, I don’t know with which lie on thread I shall start, however the ‘creativity’ issue, which you have raised, is appalling.
I can assure you that people here (in the middle east) are as creative as their Homo sapiens fellows. The bunch of clowns assigned by the US administration to rule this region, are the only source of tyranny and constraint in the Middle East."

My post acknowledged that people in the Middle East can be creative. Perhaps you need to work on your poor English before intruding on a website for American Conservatives.

Your post is a good example of what we can expect in the future from you thankless slobs, just like France, how charming. But at least there won't be the plotting of our being murdered anymore. Perhaps that is what is upsetting you the most?

Is this website really for American conservatives? I didn’t know that!
Now, wouldn’t the American conservatives like to hear the other side of the story?
My English is good enough to convey the message, please don’t try to make me feel inferior, I had a view of point which I wanted to cast, that's it.
