I looked up thermite on Wikipedia too and came to the same conclusion-- the aluminum from the plane and iron from the building could be the source of thermite traces. And thermite reactions could not be controlled and timed to take down a building in a controlled manner.
My first thought was that thermite had been used to cut the beams during the debris removal operation.
The paper by the demo expert seals the deal.
Don't count on it...I'm sure NYPD would love to watch some of those assholes get the shit beaten out of them. Remember, it was their own guys who got killed.
I may go up there just to walk past and give them the finger.
