Adam Sandler ^ | Unknown

This for those whining and slamming Adam Sandler for donating Playstations to Israelis. And also for those who would like to hear about a Hollywood star that supports our troops. Click the link and he has a small message for our troops.

I liked Anger Management just because I can relate to how he got treated on the plane. It reminded me of when I almost got into it with a stewardess who was PMS'ing something fierce.

Anger Managment is hilarious.

Dave Buznik: Geez, without slippy-flippy's or angry masterbating I don't see how that's possible.

Dr. Buddy Rydell: Sarcasm is anger's ugly cousin... from now on, unacceptable.

The Wedding Singer is cute, too.

Adam Sandler is more Jewish than Hollywood, so I'd like to thank him for stepping up to the plate at a time when being true to yourself is verboten in that industry.

I really liked Punch Drunk Love too, but I will admit to actually being an Adam Sandler fan, especially when he picks up a guitar.

I am glad of what he's doing.

Me, too! A 'young' conservative celebrity in my own age group - almost an anomaly, but hopefully an inspiration to others. To me, certainly.

He's still not funny and his movies are horrible

I disagree. I think he is funny and smart and I love the 'love story movie with happy ending' he often does. Loved 'Wedding Singer', '50 First Dates', 'Big Daddy'. I don't like all though. For example, 'Billy Madison'? Ugh.

I've heard he and Vince Vaughn are both closet Republican's.. (are there any other kind in Hollywood?)

I think there might a little secret cabal of former "SNL" member Libertarian/Republicans in Lalaland. Dennis Miller got Adam Sandler onto "SNL" and was his champion on the show. Miller also went to bat for Bob Dole fan/Clinton basher Norm MacDonald, who was fired for being too politically incorrect (also too funny for "SNL"). Rob Schneider appears in all of Sandler's movies and Sandler produces his, and Schneider has gone to Iraq, volunteered to appear on "The Tonight Show" on a holiday when the audience was all troops, and showed photos of himself holding a rifle in Iraq and putting his feet up on Saddam's palace coffee table. I've also noticed that Dennis Miller's pal Dana Carvey has said some hilariously sharp things about Clinton and the war on terror. Maybe this tiny clique is entirely responsible for the average IQ in Hollywood being higher than that of a house plant.

Rush mentioned, Nicole Kidman and 84 other Hollywood types signed a petition against terrorism.

And his Hanukkah song rocks.

He's a regular American who made it big in Hollyweirdo...no surprise....he supports what we support. He's most likely a closet conservative.

Punch Drunk Love was BRILLIANT. 50 First Dates and Anger Management were great too. The only film I don't like of his is The Water Boy.

Sandler is an acquired taste. Either people love him or hate him, I've found.

The only problem with the Hanukkah song is that Rod Carew never actually converted to Judaism. He married a Jewish girl and they are raising Jewish children, but he never converted.

I am an entertainment junkie. I love tv sitcoms, movies, and, yes even Desperate Housewives, and the occasional soap that I DVR.

Whew, that said, glad to hear that Sandler, (although he sometimes grates on my nerves ala Jim Carrey) is supporting our troops. HE, as well as the few others in the Hollywood community who love and respect our country, will get my hard earned dollars at the box office. I refuse to give my money to movie stars, who will in turn give said money right back to liberal, anti-American causes.

BTW, glad to hear Vince Vaughn (who this old broad thinks is a hottie) is a closet Republican....he needs to come out of there, as do others! They might be surprised at how their fanbase would increase from the "silent majority" in our country.

Sandlers also from New Hampshire...which used to be a republican state. He has many terrific movies on his CV...not all appeal to everyone. PUnch drunk love, Spanglish and fifty first dates are my favorite ones.

Since the children are being raised Jewish, I can't see where there'd be a problem. If the situation was reversed, and it was Carew himself who was Jewish and his wife who wasn't, then his parents would probably not be happy because then, the only way the kids could be raised Jewish would be if she converted. Jewish law only accepts children as Jewish if their mother is.

Your comment about his movies is generally true, but "50 First Dates" was genuinely funny (and fairly clean). My wife loved it.
