I recall MANY years ago, seeing her in the movie,A Star is Born. Now I know why Kris killed himself in the movie!Die with her,or die driving a cool fast car?Hmmm,I chose the car.
Well, the dixie chicks probably have some free time, they had to cancel in south Florida because of low ticket sales.
Great memories of that place when my HS won the Ohio bball championship in their class.
Somehow it will never be the same.
Of course she may cancel, LOL
Next stop on the tour...
ROFLMAO!!! I was just thinking the same thing!
"Hello, gorgeous" indeed. *snicker*
Babs wouldn't be a value @ $.02!
Even if you PAID me $602.50, I don't think I could sit through a Streisand concert. I'd rather go to the State Fair and see Charo perform.
Well, belated congrats! And let's hope the 'high' ticket price keeps locals away. Ugh. I can just see the esteemed lefties lining up to get tickets, anxious and excited for their first trip - and hers - to Value City. Let's hope she cancels.
Oh, and nothing new under the sun. Remember Rosie O'Donnell's promos for Kmart? -eyeroll-
I saw the headline and thought maybe soon she would be a singing greeter at the local walmart.
LOL. Streisand at Value City...at the furniture store? How appropriate. I know, I know, but it's the first thing this ex-Ohioan thought of. :-)
This venue is known to most of us as "the Schott", named after the Schottensteins, who donate much money to OSU.
My daughter played basketball there for three years (her Freshman year, she played at St. Johns Arena, before the new facility was built).
During that time, our family had so many wonderful experiences watching her play basketball there.
My daughter's were not only on the basketball court. She saw many entertainment acts "warm up" there. After one practice, she called me to tell me about watching Billy Joel play the piano during a rehearsal, and asking me if I liked him. And there was the time that she and her best friend on the team, got hit on by Rob Thomas, (forget the name of his group). He was rehersing, had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, and shouted at them over his microphone, to get them to come back and party with him. They just laughed and walked out. And also, some famous boyband member saw them practicing, and wanted to play a pickup game. I remember telling her she was crazy to not take him up on it, but she was afraid her boyfriend would be jealous...lol
That said, my daughter got one of her 3 degrees in Political Science at OSU. She was up against the odds, sometimes she would be the ONLY conservative in her class to speak up. The years have gone by, and my daughter is now happily married. But how it sickens me to think that "Babs" will be performing on the same floor, where I have so many fond memories of my daughter playing basketball.
My daugher will hate it as well. I hope they cancel the show due to lack of ticket sales.
rob thomas is from matchbox 20.
Eric clapton married a columbus girl and they seem very happy.
Terry Blair married a famous NY composer and they seem very happy too and both come to columbus very often.
Same thing here. LOL
Then You won't have a problem with the prices. $622 per seat for floor, $322 each for 100 and 200 area seats. I suspect it will not be a sell out.
eeeww!
HERE's what you get for $600?
I was thinking more like "Big Lots..."
