Professor Williams is 1000 percent correct. Those liberals like Kerry, etc. believe that Iran will succumb to diplomatic means.

Look what happened to North Korea with Carter and Clinton awarding them the means to create the bomb. They were foolishly mesmerized by North Korea's hocus pocus. North Korea is now in the verge of creating the bomb and South Korea is begging them not to test it.. Yet, Americans are so silent and forgetful about this, the silence is deafening. I wonder if Carter and Clinton feel any regret for what they accomplished that is now threatening the lives of their fellow Americans.

Their suppressed silence have caused their fellow liberals to extol their treacherous deeds, as if, it is acceptable to help your enemy create a weapon to kill you.

Apparently not, since that Nobel Prize ex-President is still evangelizing his impaired peace approach.

Don't you not agree that if the US bombed Iran when they captured the US embassy that the twin towers tragedy would not have happened?

Because of Carter's cowardly inaction, Khomeini and his mullahs had viewed America is a weakling. Carter wanted to talk, apologizingly even lifting the ban he had imposed during the revolutionary turmoil on arms exports to Iran. Khomeini didn't listen. The most powerful person in the world being ignored. Ouch..........that hurts.

Over the years Iran created the Hesbollah , Iran's foreign legion.

This is a strong reason why one should not elect a liberal. They are all the same. Look at their last presidential candidate. He wanted security problems to be solved by the United Nations enforced by the troops from Bangladesh. That's a joke. Republican candidates should use this to unseat or not to elect Liberals, by their unwillingness to fight terrorists. If liberals have long tails, their tails would be between their legs all the time.

Iran wants to imitate and follow North Korea, knowing for well that half of us (Americans) are "Useful idiots" which will believe and do anything they say.

Those who have been in the Middle East, Iran in particular, have learned about the story of the camel and scorpion. The US and the West represent the camel and the rest of the Middle East is the scorpion.

(The story goes - the Scorpion begs the camel to ride on his back so it can go to the other side of the river. The camel initially refused because of the scorpion's poisonous sting. But the scorpion begged the camel asking for pity 'cause he does not know how to swim or else he will drown. The camel, through the goodness of his heart, relented and in the middle of the river the scorpion stung the camel and the camel asked the scorpion, "Why did you do that?" The scorpion laughed and said, "This is the Middle East.")

Look at Fox News reporters Centani and Wiig. They volunteered to go to Palestine to broadcast the feelings of Hamas and the Palestinian people to the entire world. They ended being kidnapped by the same people they are trying to help. Now the kidnappers demand that all moslems in all American controlled jails be freed.

Today, Iran says, "Let's talk."

Remember, it's the scorpion talking.

P. S.

During World War II, at the Battle of Bessang Pass, I met a captured Japanese soldier, who was born in Los Angeles. As we talked I asked him who is a better soldier the American or the Japanese. His reply was "Japanese are jungle fighters, but Americans remove jungle."

One can apply this maxim today by saying - we can remove anything that the terrorists have if we have the guts to win.

All these neat toys we have are a waste of money. They'll never be used. The majority of the civilian population in this country has lost its will to fight. IMOHO

In my opinion -- no. Bin Laden and Iran know it too. And that's why they will likely succeed in destroying western civilization. Because we have lost the will to survive. We'll only have ourselves to blame.

A blunt appraisal and the brutal truth that few will want to confront.

As an aside, during WWII, General Lemay informed our War Department that he had run out of targets to bomb in Japan. That was a major reason that Hiroshima was bombed; because it was relatively unscathed. Toyko had nearly been burnt to the ground and a nuke on it wouldn't have impressed the Japanese government that a nuke would hurt them any more than they had already been hurt by conventional bombing. By showing the utter destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki it became evident to the Emperor of Japan that further resistance was futile and that's when he put a stop the carnage by speaking to the Japanese people for the first time in their lives. But that almost didn't happen because the hard liners in the government insisted on resisting to the last Japanese. That is a matter of historical record.

I am beginning to have some very real concerns about Bush's backbone. As far as I am concerned we should give Iran an ultimatum. Either end their nuclear program now or we will end it for them NOW!!

The scorpion story I recall is a little different than yours. I think it is an ancient Aesop's fable. Anyway, the scorpion convinces a frog to help it swim across a river. The frog is afraid, but the scorpion convinces him he has nothing to fear. "If I sting you, you will die and I will drown. So you can be sure I won't sting you".

Then, in the middle of the river, the scorpion stings the frog. The frog asks, "Why did you sting me? Now we both will die." The scorpion says, "I couldn't help it. I'm a scorpion".

Muslims are like the scorpions. They don't have regard for their lives, they just have to kill infidels. Especially jews and americans. God help the Jewish Americans if the mohametans ever get the upper hand.

War with terrorist states need not include occupation. It is enough to leave them destroyed and in rubble. Occupation is an unnecessary drain on all of our resouces and assumes we are now responsible for their future. Not true. They were and are responsible for their fate, and they are and will be responsible for what they become. If they seek a peaceful representative government, we should stand ready to help. And if they become what they were, they should be destroyed again... and again... and again.

>Will the West defend itself?

The same thoughts were raised
when the Nazis seemed so strong.
Hitchcock made this film,

which points out the West
seems disorganized and gives
bad guys benefit

of the doubt always,
but at the final showdown
good people stand tall,

stand together and
don't hesitate to wipe out
scum with their bare hands!

It's only a deterrent if you demonstrate you are willing to use it.
