I agree, a Democrat would be an improvement.

I wish I lived in Rhode Island so I could vote against this idiot. I hope the GOP voters of RI have the good sense to throw him out in the primary. If I recall correctly, he was also one of the ones dragging his feet during the Clinton impeachment process.

I just can't believe that the RNC stands by this moron.

Not only that but the NRSC has spent millions to defeat his far more (fiscally) conservative and GOP-loyal opponent, Steve Laffey, in the upcoming primary.

That's what they're doing with your donations to the GOP this year. Funding Chafee and intervening in an open primary in Arizona to defeat a conservative (Randy Graf) so they can elect a liberal. This meddling in an open primary is an unprecedented use of GOP funds.

For more info, check this FR thread: GOP vs. Conservatives?

This year, don't waste your money on the national GOP. They'll just use it to elect liberals.

This meddling isn't paying off. I think Laffey and Graf are both going to win easily.

...Because, of course, there is nothing going on at the UN that's very urgent, right?

Ann Coulter was right about the IQ going up on boths sides if he switched sides.

LOL! Thanks for the chuckle. I think Chafee is holding Bolton's nomination up hoping to extract money for his re-election. Ooooops, looks like it backfired! I think most everyone in the GOP would rather have a Rat elected in place of this P.O.S.

He wasn't in the Senate then.

Senators think they are gods. One more reason why one of our worst senators needs to be taken down. Go Laffey!!!

The president asks for this kind of treatment when he supports one of the worst RINOs ever.

Unfortunate that a good guy like Bolton (let alone our national interest) has to pay the price.

With the tyrant of Iran about to address the UN in the US -- as a good a demonstration of American weakness and UN moral bankruptcy as you can have in one event -- a respectable Senate would strike back for American dignity by approving Bolton unanimously, now.

But the Senate is not respectable, just a bunch of arrogant egotists who call themselves "the world's greatest deliberative body." Phuck them.

At least if his seat were held by a Democrat, he would be counted on the other side and be occupying a Democrat seat on the committees.

By claiming to be a Republican he is actually a Democrat occupying Republican committee seats where he can do a lot more damage than somebody on the other side.

Vote him outta there! If Sh!tWhitehouse wins at least the Dems will have to give him a seat on their side of the aisle!

This is the same backstabbing dipsh*t that "W"'s backing and Mrs. Bush has campaigned for? And they wonder why the GOP is in trouble.

Now why did you have to go and disrespect Wally Cox that way?

I dont think its that hard, he's trying to get in the news as standing up to Conservatives so he can win his primary in RI.

I'm surprised that RI Republicans may finally have had enough of Chaffee... I've been lobbying against him for a decade, it seems... I'd rather have some type of "R" in every seat of the Senate and can put up with RINOs like Snowe and Collins, but Chaffee is way out of the league of mere "RINO".

He not only votes against us, but he does real damage to the integrity of the Republican party.

I feel almost as strongly in that regard against McCain... but at least he has a true "conservative" streak on some issues. That does not seem to be true about Chaffee.
