I remember taking a bite of one of those things..it was a bit rubbery, kind of , I don't know "fluffy".

In truth, I was amusing myself with a *very* inside joke.
I once told a friend that the hot dog he was enjoying immensely contained, among other delightful things, ground meal worm larvae and rat snouts.
[I know...I'm mean]....;]
I don't care to ponder "fluffy" though....:-P

I love tamales. I really do.
Then, once, some Mexican friends invited us over for their New Years cook-out. The tradition was/is tamales.
They cooked a PIG HEAD..in the ground..dug out all the gross stuff and put it in the Tamales!!!
I said to myself. "well you like them BEFORE you knew what they were..why not after?
I still eat tamales. But my husband will not eat those beef sticks. Go figure
